LIUST-51 SERIES
1. INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the TEC LIUST-51 Remote Indicator Unit. This remote indicator unit can be connected
to various terminals including the ST-4500, which has been developed as a high-grade POS terminal for specialty
stores.
This remote indicator unit uses a large fluorescent display; 20 digits x 2 lines. The angle and direction of the indicator
can be adjusted for the customer to see easily.
This owner’s manual provides a description of the functions and handling of this unit and should be read carefully
to obtain maximum performance. Since every consideration has been given to safety, there is no danger of damaging
the machine by incorrect operation.
Please refer to this manual whenever you have any doubts concerning the machine. This unit has been
manufactured under strict quality control and should give you full satisfaction. However, if the machine is damaged
during transit, or there are any unclear points in this manual, please contact your local TEC representative.
• The specification described in this manual may be modified by TEC, if necessary.
• Be sure to keep this manual for future reference.
1.1 Precautions
1. This indicator unit is a precision machine. Do not subject the equipment to sudden shocks.
2. The cover should be cleaned by wiping with a dry cloth or a cloth slightly dampened with a mild detergent
solution. NEVER USE THINNER OR ANY OTHER VOLATILE SOLVENT on the plastic covers.
3. DO NOT POUR WATER directly onto the display unit and NEVER IMMERSE THE DISPLAY IN WATER.
4. Avoid using in locations subject to vibration and direct sunlight.
5. Be sure to install the equipment on a flat surface.
6. Never attempt to modify the TEC equipment by yourself.
