Keephandsandfeetawayfrommovingparts.Do
notmakeadjustmentswiththeenginerunning.
Parkthemachineonlevelground,disengage
thedrives,chockthewheels,andshutoffthe enginebeforeleavingtheoperator'spositionfor anyreasonincludingemptyingthegrasscatcher oruncloggingthechute.
Ifyouremovethegrasscatcher,besuretoinstall
anydischargedeectororguardthatmighthave beenremovedtoinstallthegrasscatcher.Donot operatethemowerwithouteithertheentiregrass catcherorthegrassdeectorinplace.
Shutofftheenginebeforeremovingthegrass
catcheroruncloggingthechute.
Donotleavegrassinthegrasscatcherfor
extendedperiodsoftime.
Grasscatchercomponentsaresubjecttowear,
damageanddeterioration,whichcouldexpose youtomovingpartsorallowobjectstobethrown. Frequentlycheckcomponentsandreplacewith themanufacturer'srecommendedparts,when necessary.

Neveroperatethelawnmowerunlessyou installamulchplate,dischargedeector,or grass-collectionsystem.
IfyouremovethePoweredBagger,installthegrass deector;refertoReplacingtheGrassDeector(page
29).
Inspectthegrassdeectorfordamagebeforeeach use.Replaceanydamagedpartsbeforeuse.
1.Disengagethespringfromthenotchinthe deectorbracketandslidetherodoutofthe weldeddeckbrackets,spring,anddischarge deector(Figure6).
