Thefootpedaldeck-liftsystemallowsyoutolowerand raisethedeckfromtheseatedposition.Youcanuse thefootpedaltoliftthedeckbrieytoavoidobstacles orassistinadjustingtheheightofcut(Figure4).

Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait

thatthecuttingassembliesareworkingproperly .
Evaluatetheterraintodeterminetheappropriate

Themotion-controlleversareinthePARKposition.
Thesafety-interlocksystemalsoisdesignedtoshut offtheenginewheneverthecontrolleversareoutof thePARKpositionandyourisefromtheseat.
TestingtheSafety-Interlock System
Testthesafety-interlocksystembeforeyouusethe machineeachtime.Ifthesafetysystemdoesnot operateasdescribedbelow,haveanAuthorized ServiceDealerrepairthesafetysystemimmediately .

4.Sitontheseat,movetheblade-controlswitch totheOFFposition,andlockthemotion-control leversinthePARKposition.Starttheengine. Whiletheengineisrunning,movethe motion-controlleverstothecenter,unlocked positionandriseslightlyfromtheseat;the engineshouldshutoff.

YoucanadjusttheMyRide®suspensionsystemfora smoothandcomfortableride.Theslotsforadjusting thesuspensionhavedetentpositionsforreference, rangingfromasofttoarmride(Figure9).

Cutgrassslightlylongerthannormaltoensurethat thecuttingheightofthemowerdeckdoesnotscalp anyunevenground.However,thecuttingheight usedinthepastisgenerallythebestonetouse. Whencuttinggrasslongerthan15cm(6inches)tall, youmaywanttocutthelawntwicetoensurean acceptablequalityofcut.
