1.Seattheaugertipintotheearthatthelocation ofthedesiredhole.
2.Presstheprimerbulbuntiltheprimerhoseis lledwithgasoline.Allowthebulbtoreturntoits originalpositionbetweenpresses.
Note:Awarmorhotenginemaynotrequire
priming.
3.MovethechokelevertotheCHOKEposition.
Note:Awarmorhotenginemaynotrequire
choking.
4.PresstheengineOn/OffswitchtotheON position.
5.Grabthehandlebarwith1hand,Withyourother hand,pullthestarterhandlelightlyuntilyoufeel resistance,thenpullthehandlebriskly.Return thestarterhandlegently.
Note:Iftheenginedoesnotstartafter5or6
pulls,presstheprimerbulbonceandpullthe starterhandleagain.
6.Oncetheengineisrunning,movethechoke levermidwaybetweentheCHOKEandRUN positions.
7.Whentheenginerunssmoothly,movethechoke levertotheRUNposition.
8.Squeezethethrottlelevertothedesiredspeed.
Note:Usefullthrottlewhenpossible.Donotlet
themachineidleforextendedperiodsoftime.

2.Squeezethethrottleleverontherighthandlebar untiltheenginespeed(rpm)increasesandthe clutchengages.
3.Drillholesasrequired.Donotplaceexcessive bodyweightontheunit.
Inmostsoils,theaugeroperatesmost
efcientlywithashavingactioncausedby theweightofthemachine.
Payattentiontotheamountofearthyou
areremovingfromthehole.Astheauger goesdeeper,youneedtoliftmoredirtfrom thehole.Liftthemachinefromthehole frequentlytoensureyoucanlifttheweight.
Note:Theclutchwilltransfermaximumpowerafter
approximately2hoursofnormaloperation.Duringthis break-inperiod,clutchslippagemayoccur.Keepthe clutchfreeofoilandmoistureforefcientoperation.

1.Releasethethrottlelever.
2.Remainintheoperatingpositionandgrabthe handlebarwith1hand.
3.MovetheengineOn/OffswitchtotheOFF position.
