1.Removetheinletcoverandtheblowertube.
2.Installthevacuumtubeandbag.
Important:Thevacuumwillnotrununlessthevacuum tubeislockedinplace.
ConvertingfromBlowerto Vacuum
WARNING
Theimpellerrotatesforafewsecondsafteryouturn offtheblowerandcancutorinjurengers.
Donotremovethebottominletcoverwhenthemotoris runningorwhentheunitispluggedintoapoweroutlet.

ConvertingfromVacuumto Blower
1.Removethevacuumbagandthevacuumtube.
2.Installtheblowertubeandinletcover.
Important:Thisblowerisintendedforoutdoor,residential useonly.Donotuseitindoorsorforcommercialorindustrial purposes.Thisapplianceisforhouseholduseonly.

ConnectingtoaPowerSource

Toreducetheriskofelectricshock,thisappliancehasapolarized plug(i.e.,onebladeiswiderthantheother).Useonlyapolarized, ULlisted(CSAcertiedinCanada)extensioncordrecommended foroutdooruse.Apolarizedplugwilltinapolarizedcordonly oneway .Iftheplugdoesnottfullyinthecord,reversethecord. Ifitstilldoesnott,purchaseapolarizedextensioncord.Ifyou haveapolarizedextensioncordandtheextensioncordplugdoes nottfullyintothewallreceptacle,reversetheplug.Ifitstilldoes nott,contactaqualiedelectriciantoinstalltheproperoutlet.Do notchangetheapplianceorextensioncordpluginanyway .

UsingtheNozzles

Installthepower(UltraandSupermodelsonly)andconcentrator nozzlesintotheblowertubetohelpreachintonarrowspacesor toremovematteddebrisfromhardsurfaces.OnUltraandSuper blowersyoucanusethepowernozzlewithouttheconcentrator formorepowerwhenblowing.

UsingtheBlower

Theblowerisintendedforresidentialuseonly .Usetheblower outdoorstomovedebrisasneeded.
Important:Vacuumonlyleavesandsoftitems.Harditems suchassticks,rocks,acorns,andpineconeswilldamage theimpeller.
Important:Donotforcethevacuumtubeintoapileofdebris orholdthetubeuprightwhileforcefeedingdebrisintothe tube.Eitheractionmaycloganddamagetheimpeller.Ifthe vacuumstartstovibrateormakeabnormalnoise,stopit, unplugthecord,andcheckforthecause.

1.Turnoffandunplugthevacuumfromthepowersource.

Inadouble-insulatedappliance,twosystemsofinsulation areprovidedinsteadofgrounding.Nogroundingmeansis providedonadouble-insulatedappliance,norshouldameansfor groundingbeaddedtotheappliance.Servicingadouble-insulated appliancerequiresextremecareandknowledgeofthesystem, andshouldbedoneonlybythequaliedservicepersonnelat yourAuthorizedT oroServiceDealer .Replacementpartsfora double-insulatedappliancemustbeidenticaltothepartsthey replace.Adouble-insulatedapplianceismarkedwiththewords “DoubleInsulation”or“DoubleInsulated.”Thesymbol(square
withinasquare)mayalsobemarkedontheappliance.
Storage
Storetheblower/vacuumandextensioncordindoors,inacooldry location,outofreachofchildrenandanimals.

RemovingCloggedDebris fromtheImpeller

1.Turnoffandunplugthevacuumfromthepowersourceand
waitforallmovingpartstostop.
2.Removethevacuumtubethenremovethedebrisfrom impellerblades.
3.Checktheimpellerforanysignsofdamage.Ifitisdamaged, contactyourAuthorizedT oroDealer.
4.Installthevacuumtube,or,ifyouwanttoswitchtoblower mode,thebottominletcover .RefertoConvertingfrom BlowertoV acuumorConvertingfromVacuumtoBlower formoreinformation.

UsingtheCordWrap

Model51609only
InstallthecordwrapasillustratedinUsingtheNozzles(page4). Wrapyourextensioncord(cordnotprovided)aroundtheblower, asshown,foreaseofstorage.
Important:Alwaysunplugtheblowerbeforewrappingthe cordorstoringit.
Troubleshooting
Ifyourblowerfailstorunwhenyouturniton,checkthefollowing beforecontactingyourAuthorizedT oroServiceDealer:
Ensurethatthebottominletcoverorvacuumtubeislockedin
place.
Ensurethatthepowercordissecuredinplaceonthebackof
theblowerandthattheplugisfullyseated.
