Operation
Important:Thebatterypackisnotfullychargedwhen
itispurchased.Beforeusingthehedgetrimmerforthe rsttime,placethebatterypackinthechargerchargeuntil theLEDindicatorsturngreen.Makesuretoreadallsafety precautions.Withregularuse,itwillneedshortercharging time.Ifstoringforaprolongedperiodoftime,removethe battery.Whenreadytouseagain,chargethebatterypack untiltheLEDindicatorsturngreen.

StartingtheHedgeTrimmer

1.Removetheprotectivecoverfromthecutterblades(Figure
1).
WARNING
Thehedgetrimmerbladescancausecutsor amputation.
Becarefulwhenhandlingthehedgetrimmerwith theprotectivecoverremoved.
forthersttime,placethebatterypackinthecharger chargeuntiltheLEDindicatorsturngreen.Makesure toreadallsafetyprecautions.Withregularuse,itwill needshorterchargingtime.Ifstoringforaprolonged periodoftime,removethebattery .Whenreadytouse again,chargethebatterypackuntiltheLEDindicators turngreen.
5.Placeonehandonthetriggerhandle.Placetheotherhand ontheauxiliaryhandle(Figure2).
6.Slidethelockswitchbackwards,towardsyou,thensqueeze thetriggerswitchtoturnonthehedgetrimmer(Figure2). Thetrimmerwillstayonaslongasthetriggerswitchis squeezed.Lock-offswitchmaybereleasedoncehedge trimmerisrunning(Figure2).

Trimthesideofahedgesothatitwillbeslightlynarrowerat
thetop.Moreofthehedgewillbeexposedwhenshapedthis way,anditwillbemoreuniform.
Weargloveswhentrimmingthornyorpricklygrowth.When
trimmingnewgrowth,useawidesweepingaction,sothatthe stemsarefeddirectlyintothecuttingblade.
Maintenance

Note:Thetrimmerbladeshouldbeoiledbeforeandaftereach
use.
1.Stopthemotorandremovethebattery.
2.Cleandirtanddebrisfromthebodyofthehedgetrimmer, usingadampclothwithamilddetergent.
Note:Donotuseanystrongdetergentsontheplastic
housingorthehandle.Theycanbedamagedbycertain aromaticoilssuchaspineandlemon,andbysolventssuch askerosene.
3.Laythehedgetrimmeronaatsurface.Applylightweight machineoilalongtheedgeofthetopblade.Ifyouwillbe usingthehedgetrimmerforanextendedperiodoftime,itis advisabletooilthebladeduringuse.
Note:Donotoilwhilethehedgetrimmerisrunning.

PreparingtheBatteryPack forRecycling
