GeneralSafety

Thefollowinginstructionshavebeenadaptedfromthe ANSI/OPEIandISOstandards.
Preparation
Neverattempttomakeanyadjustmentswhiletheengine
isrunning,exceptwhenspecicallyrecommendedby Toro.
Theoperationofanypoweredmachinecanresultin
foreignobjectsbeingthrownintotheeyes.Alwayswear eyeprotectionduringoperationorwhileperformingan adjustmentorrepair.
WARNING
Whengoingupordownhill,themachinecould overturniftheheavyendistowardthedownhill side.Someonemaybepinnedorseriouslyinjured bythemachineifitoverturns.
Operateupanddownslopeswiththeheavyendof themachineuphill.Thisattachmentmakesthe frontendheavy.
Operation
Donotputhandsorfeetnearorunderrotatingparts.
Exerciseextremecautionwhenoperatingonorcrossing
graveldrives,walks,orroads.Stayalertforhidden hazardsortrafc.Donotcarrypassengers.
Afterstrikingaforeignobject,stoptheengine,thoroughly
inspecttheattachmentforanydamage,andrepairthe damagebeforestartingandoperatingtheattachment.
Iftheunitshouldstarttovibrateabnormally,stopthe
engineandcheckimmediatelyforthecause.Vibrationis generallyawarningoftrouble.
Stoptheenginewheneveryouleavetheoperatingposition
andwhenmakinganyrepairs,adjustments,orinspections.
Whencleaning,repairing,orinspectingthemachine,stop
theengineandensurethatallmovingpartshavestopped.
