Useonlyaccessoriesandattachmentsapproved

Inspecttheareawheretheequipmentistobe
usedandremoveallobjects,suchasrocks,toys, andwire,whichcanbethrownbythemachine.
Checkthatoperator'spresencecontrols,safety
switches,andshieldsareattachedandfunctioning properly.Donotoperatethemachineunlessthey arefunctioningproperly.
Operation
Neverrunanengineinanenclosedarea.
Operatethemachineonlyingoodlight,keeping
awayfromholesandhiddenhazards.
Starttheengineonlyfromtheoperatingposition.
Besureofyourfooting,especiallywhenbacking
up.Walk,don'trun.Neveroperatethemachineon wetgrass.Reducedfootingcouldcauseslipping.
Slowdownanduseextracareonhillsides.Besure
totravelsidetosideonhillsides.Turfconditions canaffectthestabilityofthemachine.Usecaution whileoperatingthemachineneardrop-offs.
Donotoperatethemachinewithouteitherthe
grasscatcherortheguardinplace.
Donotchangetheenginegovernorsettingor
overspeedtheengine.
Stopthemachineonlevelgroundandshutoff
theenginebeforeleavingtheoperatingposition foranyreason,includingemptyingthecatcheror uncloggingthechute.
SafeHandlingofFuels
Toavoidpersonalinjuryorpropertydamage,use
extremecareinhandlinggasoline.Gasolineis extremelyammableandthevaporsareexplosive.
Extinguishallcigarettes,cigars,pipes,andother
sourcesofignition.
Useonlyanapprovedfuelcontainer.
Neverremovefuelcaporaddfuelwiththeengine
running.
Allowtheenginetocoolbeforerefueling.
Neverrefuelthemachineindoors.
Neverstorethemachineorthefuelcontainer
wherethereisanopename,spark,orpilotlight, suchasonawaterheateroronotherappliances.
Neverllcontainersinsideavehicleoronatruck
ortrailerbedwithaplasticliner.Alwaysplace containersonthegroundawayfromyourvehicle beforelling.
Removetheequipmentfromthetruckortrailerand
refuelitontheground.Ifthisisnotpossible,then refuelsuchequipmentwithaportablecontainer ratherthanfromafueldispensernozzle.
Keepthenozzleincontactwiththerimofthefuel
tankorcontaineropeningatalltimesuntilfueling iscomplete.
Donotuseanozzlelockopendevice.
Iffuelisspilledonclothing,changeclothing
immediately.
Neveroverllthefueltank.Replacefuelcapand
tightensecurely.
Stopthemachineandinspectthebladeafter
strikingobjectsorifanabnormalvibrationoccurs. Makenecessaryrepairstothemachinebefore resumingoperation.
Keephandsandfeetawayfromthecuttingunits.
Lookbehindanddownbeforebackinguptobe
sureofaclearpath.
Keeppetsandbystandersaway.
Slowdownandusecautionwhencrossingroads
andsidewalks.Stopthebladeifyouarenot mowing.

wire.Waitforallmovementtostopbefore adjusting,cleaning,orrepairingthemachine.
Cleangrassanddebrisfromthecuttingunit,drive,
mufer,andenginetohelppreventres.Clean upoilorfuelspills.
Lettheenginecoolbeforestoringthemachine,
anddonotstoreitnearaame.

Shutoffthefuelwhilestoringortransportingthe
machine.Donotstorefuelnearamesordrain fuelindoors.
Neverallowuntrainedpersonneltoservicethe
machine.
Removethespark-plugwirebeforemakingany
repairs.
Usecarewhencheckingtheblade.Wrapthe
bladeorweargloves,andusecautionwhen servicingtheblade.Onlyreplacetheblade;never straightenorweldit.
