SafeOperatingPractices

GeneralInformation
Readtheinstructionscarefully .Befamiliarwiththe
controlsandtheproperuseofthemachine.
Neverallowchildrenorpeopleunfamiliarwiththese
instructionstousethemachine.Localregulationscan restricttheageoftheoperator.
Nevermowwhilepeople,especiallychildrenorpets,are
nearby.
Theoperatororuserisresponsibleforaccidentsor
hazardsoccurringtootherpeopleortheirproperty.
Preparation
Whilemowing,alwayswearsubstantialfootwearandlong
trousers.Donotoperatethemachinewhenbarefootor wearingopensandals.
Thoroughlyinspecttheareawherethemachineistobe
used,andremoveallobjectswhichcanbethrownbythe machine.
Beforeusing,alwaysvisuallyinspecttoseethattheblade,
bladebolts,andcutterassemblyarenotwornordamaged.
Replaceawornordamagedbladeandboltsasasetto preservebalance.
Tororecommendsthatthemachinebesuppliedwitha
residualcurrentdevice(RCD)havingatrippingcurrent thatdoesnotexceed30mA.
Useonlya1.00mm
than30mandissuitableforoutdooruse(ifapplicable).

Important:Checkthebalanceofthebladebyputtingit onabladebalancer.Youcanpurchaseaninexpensive balanceratahardwarestore.Abalancedbladestaysina horizontalposition;anunbalancedbladesettlestothe heavyside.Ifthebladeisnotbalanced,lemoremetal offthecuttingedgeontheheavyendoftheblade.
InstallingtheBlade
Installasharp,balancedbladeandthebladebolt.Thesail partoftheblademustpointtowardthetopofthemachine housingtoensurecorrectinstallation.Tightenthebladebolt to20N-m.
