Rotatethehandlelock,movethehandleto1of3 positions,andlockthehandleintoposition(Figure

Adjustingthecuttingheightmaybringyou intocontactwiththemovingblade,causing seriousinjury.
Shutofftheengineandwaitforallmoving partstostop.Removetheelectric-start button(ifequipped).
Donotputyourngersunderthehousing whenadjustingthecuttingheight.
CAUTION
Iftheenginehasbeenrunning,themufer willbehotandcanseverelyburnyou.
Keepawayfromthehotmufer.

Thebladeissharp;contactingthebladecanresult
inseriouspersonalinjury.Shutofftheengine, removetheelectric-startbutton(electric-start modelonly),andwaitforallmovingpartstostop beforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
Whenyoureleasetheblade-controlbar,the

Keepbystanders,especiallysmallchildren,outof

Beforeleavingtheoperatingposition,shutoff
