4.RotatetheBATTERY-DISCONNECTswitchtotheOff
position;refertoOperator’ sManualforthemachine.
5.Allowthemachinetocool10to20minutes.

1.Placeadrainpanunderthetransmission-oillter
(Figure1).

CheckingtheOilLevelinthe
Transmission

Important:Ifyouoperatethemachinewhilethelevelof
thetransmissionoilisbelowtherecommendedlevel,you
maydamagethetransmissionandtheparkingbrake.
1.RotatetheBATTERY-DISCONNECTswitchtotheOn
position;refertoOperator’ sManualforthemachine.
2.Starttheengineandrunitfor10minutes.
3.Stoptheengineandremovetheignitionkey.
4.Checkthetransmissionlterandlterheadforleaks.
Note:Repairallleaksbeforeproceedingtothenext
step.
5.Wait10minutesormoreandthencheckthe
transmissionoillevelinthesightgauge(Figure2).

allowtheresidualhydraulicuidtodrainintothedrain

3.Removethetransmissionlterwithalterwrenchand
discardthelter(Figure1).
4.Wipecleantheoillteradapterattheseatingsurface
forthelter.
5.Applyathinlayerofthespeciedtransmissionuid
ontotheO-ringofthenewlter;refertoCheckingthe
OilLevelintheTransmission(page2).
6.Installthenewlterbyhandandtightenthelter1/2
to3/4turnafteritmakescontactwiththelterhead
(Figure1).
Note:Theoillevelshouldcover1/2to3/4ofthe
sight-gaugewindow.
Important:Donotusealterstrapwrenchto
tightenthelter.Astrapwrenchcandamagethe
lter,causingittoleak.
7.Starttheengineandrunitatidlefor1minute,and
checkforleaks.
8.Stoptheengineandremovethekey .
9.Checkthetransmissionoillevel;ifthelevelislow,add
oil;refertoCheckingtheOilLevelintheTransmission
(page2).
Important:Whenyoullthetransmissionwith
oil,slowlyaddtheoilintothetransmissionto
avoidentrainingairwiththeoil.
