Weightsareinstalledtoimprovehandling,balanceand improveperformance.Weightscanbeaddedorremoved tocreateoptimizedperformanceunderdifferentmowing conditionsandforoperatorpreference(Figure1).

Itisrecommendedthatweightsbeadded,relocatedor removedoneatatimeuntilthedesiredhandlingandbalance isachieved.

InstallingtheWeight

1.DisengagethePTO,stoptheengine,removethekey , andwaitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe operatingposition.

2.Allowtheengineandmufertocoolbeforeinstalling thiskit.

3.Determinethesizeofboltneededtoinstalltheweights.

Usethefollowingtabletodeterminethelengthofthe boltneededforthenumberofweightsyouwillbe installing.

Sizeofbolttouse:

3/8x4inches

3/8x5inches

3/8x6inches

•Allowthemuferandenginetocoolbefore installingthiskit.

•Keephands,feet,face,clothingandother bodypartsawayfromahotmuferand engine.

4.Raisetheheight-of-cutlevertotheappropriateposition toallowthebestclearancesfortheremovaland installationoffasteners.

5.Removethe4muferguardbolts.Adjusttheguard positionasneededtoremovethebolts(Figure1).

6.Installthenewboltsthroughthemuferguardand throughtheclampbar.

7.Installtheweightontotheboltswiththeclampbarin placebehindtheweight(Figure1).

8.Looselyinstallthenutsandslidethemuferguardleft orrighttocentertheexhaustoutlettubeinthecenter ofthemuferguardopening.

9.Tightenthefournutsandensurethemuferexhaust tubeiscenteredinthemuferguardopening(Figure1).

10.Operatetheheight-of-cutleverthroughfullrangeto verifyclearanceofthepartsaroundthemuferand guard.
