Read through and understand these instructions completely before proceeding with installation.
PURPOSE: This service kit provides the necessary hardware and installation instructions to assure proper
operation of the 46” OEM-190-833 Snow Blade when installing on some Model Year 2010 and newer TORO Garden Tractors.
NOTE: This Service Kit is needed on tractors with the 16” front tires and 23” rear tires.
NOTE: These materials are prepared for use by trained technicians who are experienced in the service and repair
of equipment of the kind described in this publication, and are not intended for use by untrained or inexperienced
individuals. Such individuals should seek the assistance of an authorized service technician or dealer.

Installation Instructions:
NOTE: These instructions were written as if the
OEM-190-833 Snow Blade has already been
assembled, installed on the tractor and found not to be
lowering all the way to the ground.
1. Park the tractor on a flat and level surface. Remove
the ignition key and set the parking brake ON.
2. Remove the negative battery cable from the negative
battery terminal.
3. Remove the 46” snow blade assembly from the
tractor. Refer to the OEM-190-833 46” Snow Blade
Operator’s Manual for removal.

4. Remove the pivot support bracket from the upper
and lower angle braces. Retain the pivot support
bracket. Discard the mounting hardware.
5. Remove the lower angle brace from the front of the
right and left hand hitch brackets. Discard the lower
angle brace and mounting hardware.

6. Install the snow blade extension brace, Ref.# 4 in
Figure 1, on the back side of the right and left hand
hitch brackets with the short leg of the brace towards
the tractor. See Figure 3.

7. Secure the snow blade extension brace to the right
and left hitch brackets with two (2) of the Ref.# 1 (112-
0557) 3/8-16 x 1.25” HHCS and two (2) of the Ref.# 2
(112-0668) 3/8-16 nylon flange lock nuts.
NOTE: Leave hand tight until assembly is finished.
8. Secure the two (2) snow blade extension brackets to
the upper angle bracket using two (2) of the Ref.# 1
(112-0557) 3/8-16 x 1.25” HHCS and two (2) of the
Ref.# 2 (112-0668) 3/8-16 nylon flange lock nuts.
See Figure 4.
NOTE: Leave hand tight until assembly is finished.

9. Secure the pivot support bracket to the two (2) snow
blade extension brackets, using the three (3) lower
remaining holes with three (3) of the Ref.# 1 (112-
0557) 3/8-16 x 1.25” HHCS and three (3) of the Ref.# 2
(112-0668) 3/8-16 nylon flange lock nuts. Install the
hardware with the nuts to the outside.
See Figures 5 and 6.
10. Install the 46” snow blade assembly onto the
tractor. Refer to the OEM-190-833 46” Snow Blade
Operators Manual for installation.
11. Lower the snow blade all the way to the ground.
12. Tighten all nuts and hex head cap screws installed
in Steps 7 through 9.
13. Reconnect the negative battery cable to the negative battery terminal.
14. Confirm that the snow blade can be lowered all the
way to the ground.
15. Angle the blade to the left and to the right to confirm
that the snow blade contacts the ground.

Operator’s Manual for blade spring and skid shoe
adjustments.
