Installation Instructions

Removing the Bolt from the
Mower Housing

No Parts Required

Procedure

1. Shut off the engine and w ait for all mo ving
par ts to stop .

2. Disconnect the wire from the spark plug .

If y ou lea v e the wir e on the spar k plug ,
someone could accidentl y star t the
engine and injur e y ou or bystander s.

Disconnect the wir e fr om the spar k plug
bef or e y ou perf or m an y maintenance.
Also, mo v e the wir e a w ay so that it does
not accidentall y contact the spar k plug .

3. Clean the underside of the mo w er housing and
examine it for damag e or ex cessi v e w ear .

Procedure

1. Secure the w ashout por t to a g arden hose .

2. Inser t the w ashout por t (attac hed to the g arden
hose) into the hole in mo w er housing where
y ou remo v ed the larg e bolt and mo v e the
w ashing por t and g arden hose to the prefer red
location.

Note: T he hose should not interfere with the
wheels , handles , or controls .

3. Use the w ashout por t as a template to mark
the location of the tw o holes in the mo w er
housing for the fasteners .

4. Center punc h and drill the tw o holes (9/32-inc h
diameter) that y ou mark ed in ste p 3 .

5. Install the w ashout por t on the mo w er facing
outw ard, and secure it with the bolts and

Washing the Underside of
the Mower

W ash the underside of the mo w er housing after
eac h use to prev ent buildup of g rass clippings for
impro v ed m ulc hing and clipping dispersal.

1. P ark the mo w er on a hard lev el surface .

2. Diseng ag e the po w er tak eoff (PTO).

3. T ur n the ignition k ey to the Off position to
stop the engine .

4. Secure a g arden hose to the w ashout por t on
the mo w er .

5. T ur n the w ater on high.

6. Lo w er the mo w er to the lo w est height-of-cut
position.

7. Star t the engine (refer to the Operator’ s Manual
for instr uctions) and eng ag e the blade or
po w er tak eoff (PTO and let the mo w er r un for
1 to 3 min utes .

Note: T he larg er the mo w er , the long er y ou
ma y need to w ash.

8. Diseng ag e the blade and the po w er tak eoff
(PTO).

9. Stop the engine and w ait for all mo ving par ts
to stop .

10. Shut off the w ater and remo v e the g arden hose
from the w ashout por t.

Note: If the mo w er is not clean after one
w ashing, soak and let it stand for 30 min utes ,
then re peat the process ag ain.

11. R un the mo w er ag ain for 1 to 3 min utes to
remo v e ex cess w ater .

Procédure

1. Coupez le moteur et attendez l'ar rêt complet
de toutes les pièces mobiles .

2. Débranc hez la bougie .

Si v ous laissez la bougie branchée,
quelqu'un pour rait mettr e le moteur en
marche et v ous blesser ou blesser des
per sonnes à pr o ximité.

Débranchez la bougie a v ant de pr océder
à tout entr etien. Écar tez aussi le fil pour
éviter tout contact accidentel a v ec la
bougie.

3. Netto yez le dessous du car ter de la tondeuse
et assurez -v ous qu'il n'est pas endommagé ou
ex cessi v ement usé.

Si le car ter de la tondeuse est cor r odé ou
fissuré, il pour ra êtr e encor e af f aibli par
la pose du raccord de la v a ge. Il risque
alor s de se fendr e et de se r ompr e et
de v ous exposer , ainsi que toute autr e
per sonne, à des pr ojections et à la lame
en r otation.

• Le raccord de la v a ge ne doit êtr e
monté que sur un car ter en bon état.

• R emplacez immédiatement le car ter
de la tondeuse s'il est usé, fissuré ou
endomma gé.

• Ne mettez jamais les mains ou les
pieds sous le car ter de la tondeuse ni
dans ses ouv er tur es.

4. R etirez le g rand boulon et l'écrou du car ter de
la tondeuse .

Procédure

1. Fix ez le raccord de la v ag e à un tuyau d'ar rosag e .

2. Insérez le raccord de la v ag e (fixé au tuyau
d'ar rosag e) dans le trou du car ter de la tondeuse
occupé précédemment par le g rand boulon et
déplacez le tuyau d'ar rosag e et le raccord de
la v ag e à l'emplacement préféré.

Remarque: Le tuyau ne doit pas gêner les
roues , les poignées ou les commandes .

3. Ser v ez -v ous du raccord de la v ag e comme
re père pour mar quer l'emplacement des deux
trous de fixation dans le car ter .

coupe , en le dirig eant v ers l'extérieur , et fix ez -le
a v ec les boulons et contre -écrous four nis dans
le kit ( Figure 1 ).

Lavage du carter de
tondeuse

La v ez le dessous du car ter de la tondeuse après
c haque utilisation pour éviter l'accum ulation
'herbe et améliorer le m ulc hing et la dispersion des
déc hets de tonte .

1. Garez la tondeuse sur un sol plat et horizontal.

2. Déseng ag ez la prise de force (PTO).

3. T our nez la clé de contact en position Contact
coupé pour ar rêter le moteur .

4. Fix ez le tuyau d'ar rosag e au raccord de la v ag e
de la tondeuse .

5. Ouvrez l'eau en g rand.

6. Réglez la tondeuse à la hauteur de coupe la
plus basse .

7. Mettez le moteur en marc he (v oir le Manuel de
l'utilisateur pour la procédure de démar rag e) et

eng ag ez la lame ou la prise de force (PDF) et
laissez tour ner le moteur 1 à 3 min utes .

Remarque: Plus la tondeuse est g rande
plus le la v ag e prendra de temps .

8. Déseng ag ez la lame et la prise de force (PTO).

9. Ar rêtez le moteur et attendez l'ar rêt de toutes
les pièces mobiles .

10. Coupez l'eau et débranc hez le tuyau d'ar rosag e
du raccord de la v ag e .

Remarque: Si la tondeuse est encore
sale après un premier la v ag e , mouillez -la de
nouv eau et patientez 30 min utes a v ant de
répéter la procédure de la v ag e .

11. R emettez la tondeuse en marc he durant 1 à
3 min utes pour év acuer l'ex cès d'eau.
