Capable of simultaneous wet/dry pickup when using external lter(s)
This unit is constructed for recovering water or other solutions without any adjustments.
Liquid shutoffs are available.
Ideal for materials from powder to oily metal chips.
Recovers uids from water to medium weight oils.
External lter(s) collect lighter particles and resist clogging.
55-gallon drum collects heavier waste (approximately 95% of all pickup); light particles collect in
large external lters.
Known for high C.F.M. (cubic feet of air per minute) and moderate suction (static water lift).
General Specications
The Single and Dual External Filter Electric Jumbo Vacuums are heavy duty wet/dry industrial vacu-
ums. They pick up wet and dry waste simultaneously without the need to change any lters. Both units are designed to t onto a 55-gallon rolled tip steel drum (Tornado part number 95944) for volume pick-up with maximum efciency. Heavier waste settles in the drum, while lighter particles are trapped in the large external lters. The 2.25 h.p. vacuum motors create tremendous CFM for pick-up power. Both units handle a wide variety of waste with ease, ranging from ne powders to
medium-grade viscosity products. Accommodates 1.5” to 3” hose and attachments, depending on the model.

ous bodily injury or property damage
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS When using this unit, basic precautions should always be followed. Read all instructions before using this unit.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or injury:
Do not leave machine unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use or attempting any maintenance or adjustment. To avoid electrical shock, store indoors only. Do not expose to rain. Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used near children. Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacture’s recommended attachments. Do not use with a damaged cord or plug. If machine is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center. Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run machine over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces. Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug not the cord. Do not handle plug or machine with wet hands.
Keep hair, loose clothing, ngers, and all parts of the body away from openings and moving parts.
Turn off all controls before unplugging. Connect to a properly grounded outlet only. See grounding instructions. Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked. Keep openings free of
dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air ow.
Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
Do not pick up ammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use machine where they may
be present.
Do not use without lters in place.
Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
Always replace worn or torn external lters immediately. This will prevent possible injury due to ying
objects.
Never operate with intake unguarded. Strong suction will pull ngers and/or clothing into blades and
other moving parts. Always point exhaust port in a safe direction. Air exits blower at very high velocity. Always wear safety glasses when in vicinity of this unit.
If unit is hand held, hold rmly when starting. High torque when starting will cause the unit to jerk
and cause injury and/or damage. Use voltage and current listed on unit nameplate. When not in use, coil motor cord and place on top of unit.

2. Attach blower motor(s) to Jumbo cover adaptor rings by turning clockwise and locking into
place. Make sure exhaust nozzles(s) face
outward.
3. Install external lter support rod(s) by placing
them in access hole(s) located in the Jumbo
cover.

2. Start by turning ON/OFF switch located on blower to the ON position.
3. Stop by turning ON/OFF switch located on blower to the OFF position.
OPERATING RULES
BLOWER MOTOR Damage to an armature invariably is caused by permitting carbon brushes to become worn to less that 1/4” in length. To prevent this from oc-
curring, inspect brushes after the rst 200 hours
of operation and frequently thereafter, replacing when necessary. Failure to do so will nullify factory warranty. To inspect brushes
1. Unplug power cord from outlet.
2. Remove the two screws located on the top cover.
3. Pull back U-clip (coil spring) to release carbon brushes.
4. Remove the two brushes and inspect for length.
5. Replace if necessary.
Note: No other maintenance of motor should be
attempted during the rst year after purchase refer to warranty). Any other type of service should
be performed by an authorized Tornado service center.
EXTERNAL FILTER
For maximum operating efciency and to ensure longer wear, remove lter(s) and empty by de-
taching the bottom clamp after every use
Use 1.5” to 3” hoses and attachments. 1.5”
attachments are not recommended for dual model.
Use multiple 20 Amp outlets when using the Dual
Electric Jumbo. Use to recover water, light weight oils, powders, grindings, and metal shavings. Extension cords must be equivalent or heavier
than the input cord(12/3), with a 50’ maximum
extension cord length.
ALL OTHER MAINTENANCE Empty and clean vacuum lter(s) and attachments after each days use for maximum performance
