The Thor Digital HDMET series of HD digital modula­tors takes a digital signal such as HDMI, component
(Y, Pb, Pr) or composite video and creates a COFDM
(DVB-T) signal for distribution to digital TV’s. There
are two models of the HDMET available, the HDMET­901 processes one program and the HDMET-902
which processes two programs. Because the
HDMET-902 actually encodes the inputs into
MPEG2, it then multiplexes the two into a transport
stream and modulates them both on a single
COFDM channel. This is a more efficient use of
bandwidth allowing more content on your system.
