Thank you for purchasing this Timex model T025 Alarm Clock. Please read this
instruction manual carefully and completely to insure that you understand the
proper operation of your new alarm clock, and that you get the maximum benefit
from all the advanced features included in this model.
Installing The Batteries
This Timex alarm clock requires 3 “AAA”
batteries (not included). We recommend using
a well-known brand of alkaline batteries for
longer life and best performance.
Press the battery door locking tab in the
direction of the arrow to remove the battery
door. Install 3 “AAA” batteries as shown in the
illustration, making sure the polarity (+ or -)
matches the diagram.
The clock will ‘beep’ 4 times and the display
will show “12:00 AM” as the time and 6:00
AM as the default alarm time.
Replace the battery door.
Replacing The Batteries
Three fresh alkaline AAA batteries should operate the clock for up to 1 year.
When the time display begins to fade and the alarm sound becomes weak it is
time to replace the batteries. Be sure to replace all 3 batteries at the same
time and do not mix different types of batteries in the battery compartment.
This alarm clock includes a special memory circuit that will maintain your time
and alarm settings for several minutes even when the 3 batteries are removed
during battery replacement. If you have 3 new batteries ready to install you
should not have to re-enter all of your settings after replacing the batteries.
However if the batteries are removed for a long period of time the internal
memory will be lost and it will be necessary to reset the time, alarm time,
snooze duration, backlight color, etc., after the new batteries are installed.
IMPORTANT: Do not leave exhausted batteries in the clock for an extended
period of time. Exhausted batteries may eventually leak and cause damage to
the clock itself and possible corrosion damage to the surface beneath the
clock.
