Operating Instructions
1. General Information
These instructions should be read carefully and retained for further reference and maintenance.
• Do not plug in any appliance that exceeds

the capacity of the Timer.
• Always ensure the plug of any appliance is fully inserted into the timer outlet.
• If cleaning of the timer is required, remove from mains power and wipe timer with a dry cloth.
• Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
• For indoor use only.

4. Operation
• Decide what times you would like the TG24 to switch ON and OFF.
• Push the segments down for the duration of an ON period (see diagram ‘B’).
• Pull the segments up for the duration

of an OFF period (see diagram ‘B’).

• The minimum switching interval is 15 minutes, and this can be increased in 15 minute steps.
• Ensure that the override switch is in the timed position by moving the slide switch to the ‘Clock’ symbol
(see Diagram ‘C’).

• Set the correct time of day by rotating the dial clockwise until the correct time is indicated by the ‘time of day pointer’ (See Diagram ‘A’).
• Plug the TG24 into a live socket.
• Plug your appliance into the TG24 and switch ON the appliance. The TG24 will now repeat the set

programme day after day indefinitely.
Points to note;
• The segment dial can be turned even when the time controller is operating.
• After a power failure, re-adjust the time controller to the correct time of day, turning the dial in a clockwise direction.

5. Permanent Override
• You are able to override the programmed settings for continuous ON operation using the main slide switch (See diagram ‘A’).
• When the slide switch points towards the ‘Clock’ symbol
the unit will operate normally

as a Timeswitch.
• When the slide switch points towards the ‘ON’ symbol
the unit will be ON continuously.
• You can operate the slide switch by sliding it up or down.
3 Year Guarantee
In the unlikely event of this product becoming faulty due to defective material or manufacture within 3 years of the date of purchase, please return it to your supplier in the first year with proof of purchase and it will be replaced free of charge. For the second and third years or any difficulty in the first year

Note: A proof of purchase is required in all cases. For all eligible replacements (where agreed by Timeguard) the customer is responsible for all shipping/postage charges outside of the UK. All shipping costs are to be paid in advance before a replacement is sent out.
