7
NOTE:
The water heater is an appliance operating in the way that water pressure in it corresponds to water pressure in the water main. If pressure in the water main is more than 0.75 MPa, it is necessary to mount a pressure reducer before it – to set the pressure at the level, which does not exceed 1 MPa.
NOTE:
In order to facilitate maintenance of the water heater, it is recommended to install a three-way drain cock on the inlet nozzle, which will allow connecting of a drain hose to it, if needed, and discharging of water from the water heater to sewerage system.
2. The water heater is connected to the water supply system with the use of
internal-screw pipes with diameter of 3/4 «(20 mm).
3. In order to avoid leakage while connecting the pipes, use rubber packing
on screwed pipe ends.
4. Install a combined safety valve for pressure and temperature in the water
heater.
5. There should be a water drain for water diversion from the valve.
The drain line should be made of copper pipes, have a constant downward angle and be as short as possible. Its length should not be more that 9 meters and it should have no more than three bends. In areas, where water pipes may freeze due to low temperature, the drain line should be heat insulated and have the length of no more than 300 m.
IMPORTANT!
Connect the water heater nozzles only to pipes and fittings de signed for temperature exceeding 80°C at maximum working pressure. It is not recommended to use materials not designed for high temperatures.
IMPORTANT!
It is forbidden to install stop valves between the valve and the nozzle.
8
www.timberk.com • electrical storage water heater
6. Connect the heater with the mounted valve to the water supply network –install a shutoff valve in a place of water inlet and an expansion tank for gas-air mixture with the capacity of 12 liters (for model SWH RE7 225V), 18 liters (for model SWH RE7 300V), 25 liters (for model SWH RE7 450V) before the inlet nozzle.
7. Connect desired number of consumption points to an outlet nozzle marked with red colour.
8. Turn on the shutoff valve and one of dismountable cocks. When the tank is filled (that is testified by discharging of water from a dismountable cock), turn off the dismountable cock and check leak tightness of all connections.
IMPORTANT!
If water in the installation place contains large amount of calcium, manganese or iron salts, then it is necessary to mount a corresponding filter in the feeding system to reduce the amount of scale in the tank and on the heating element.
