INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
FOR RAB 350 SERIES
WARNING
Step 1
Remove the rocket (the rocket is not
required for 300/350 kcmil).
Step 2
Cut the rocket at the marked ring for
#12 to 250 kcmil.
Step 3
Reinsert the rocket. (if required)
Step 4
Measure the strip length. Place the
cable alongside the markings on the
tower, strip the cable.
Step 5
Insert the cable into the tower (300 to 350 kcmil) or the rocket (#12
to 250 kcmil) until the end of the conductor touches the window.

Torque the connector to the values shown
on the tether. (120 in-lb for #12 to #3, 240
in-lb for #2 to 350kcmil)
Acceptable torque range for 2 - 350 kcmil
is 240 - 350 in-lb.

Step 8
Replace the screw plug.
Step 9
Reseal by installing the attached plug.
IMPORTANT
• Make sure all unused cable ports are sealed.
• When reinstalling a cable, it must be of the same size or
larger than the one removed.
• Do not use in applications exposed to sunlight for extended
periods of time. Refer to the factory for these applications.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Follow standard safety practices when working on energized circuits.
• Insulating gloves rated to the appropriate voltage must be worn
when installing on live conductors.

ADVERTENCIA
Paso 1
Remueva la manga en forma de cohete
(la manga en forma de cohete no se
requiere para 300/350 kcmil).
Paso 2
Corte la manga en forma de cohete en
el anillo marcado para #12 a 250 kcmil.
Paso 3
Vuelva a colocar la manga en forma de
cohete. (Si se requiere)
Paso 4
Mida la longitud de la tira. Coloque el
cable junto a las marcas en la torre,
pele el cable.
Paso 5
Inserte el cable en la torre (de 300 a 350 kcmil) o la manga en
forma de cohete (#12 a 250 kcmil) hasta que el borde del
conductor toque la ventana.

Paso 6
Remueva el tapón de rosca
tirando la cuerda.
Paso 7

Apriete el conector a los valores
mostrados en la cuerda. (120
pulgadas-libras para #12 al #3, 240
pulgadas-libras para # 2 a 350 kcmil)
El rango aceptable de torque de
apriete para 2-350 kcmil es de 240 a
350 pulgadas-libras.

Paso 8
Remplace el tapón de rosca.
Paso 9
Vuelva a sellar instalando el
conector adjunto.
IMPORTANTE
• Asegúrese de que todos los puertos de cables no usados estén
sellados.
• Cuando vuelva a instalar un cable, debe ser del mismo tamaño
o mayor que el removido.
