Instructions:
1. Remove conductor cable seal sleeve from bus as shown.

2. Select and cut off the correct ring at tip of arrow on the sleeve
per the following instructions: Cut sleeve straight across the
end of the ring that is to be used. Use the conductor port
without sleeve for wire sizes from 400-500 kcmil.

3. Wipe the end of the conductor insulation clean and apply
silicone lubricant to the conductor insulation.
4. Slide the collar end of the sleeve on to the cable so that 4" of
the insulation is showing.
5. Strip insulation from conductor. Use a strip length of 1" as
imprinted on the bus cover.
6. Wire brush the conductor to break up oxides on the
conductor surface.
7. Back set screw out to allow the necessary clearance for the
conductor.
8. Install conductor into conductor port of the bus until
conductor hits the bottom of the port. When the conductor
has bottomed out, the sleeve tip should be even with the end
of the port. This indicates full cable insertion.
9. Torque set screws to:
Conductor size - AWG/MCM Set screw torque
Copper or aluminum Inch pounds
#12 - 1/0 110 - 120
2/0 - 4/0 200 - 250
250 - 350 300 - 400
400 - 500 360 - 500
Note: Product must be installed in accordance with applicable national and local
electrical codes.
10. Install set screw plug.
11. Apply silicone lubricant to the outside of the sleeve on the
ring marked 3/0-4/0. If 3/0-4/0 ring has been removed,
apply silicone lubricant to the 250-350 ring.
12. Slide sleeve into the port so that the sleeve collar is flush
against the end of the port.
13. Repeat for each conductor port.
