CARE AND CLEANING OF YOUR STAINLESS STEEL GRILL
Routinecleaning isnecessaryto preservethe appearance and corrosionresistanceof Stainless Steel. The perceptionthat
many peoplehave is that stainlesssteelwill not rust. That is notthe case in certainconditions. Rust marks are regular sttel
particlesthat have becomeattached to thesurface of stainless steel. They mayalso occur if you are using a steel woolor
wirewool scouring padin steadof a nylon scouring padto clean your grill. Incoastalareas, small rust pits may developon
thesurface of yourgrill that cannotbefully removed bya cleaner.Concentrate bleachesand other solutionscontaining
chlorinecan also cause rust pitsand should not be used.
Cooking creates smokethat mayeventually coat anddiscolor thestainless steel surface. Greasefireswill darken the
stainlesssteel surface, butwill not affect the integrity ofthe steel. Periodiccleaningof thecooking surface and inside d the
grill helpsdecreasethe risk of a fire. The methods beloware suggestionsfor cleaningstainless steel surfaces.Choose a
cleaning methodappropriatefor your needs. Itis recommendedthat you usea Char-Broil®grill coverto help prolongthe
life and preventdiscolorationofyour grill.
Routine Care
After each use, letyour grill cool and thenwipe thegrill witha soft, damp, soapy cloth and rinsewith cleanwater. It is
important to removeany food particlesor marinadefrom the stainlesssteel surfaceof your grill. Most marinadesare highly
acidic anddamagestainless steel. DO NOT USESTEELORWIREWOOL. Toclean, polish andprotectyour stainlesssteel
grill on a weekly basis use Char-Broil® Stainless Steel Grill Cleaner. For quick, convenient cleaning, use Char-Broil®
Stainless SteelGrill Wipes.
StubbornStains and Rust

conditions, or extreme cookingtemperatures. Forstubbornrust stains andgreasestains, you can restoreyour grillwith the
Char-BroilStainless SteelRestorationKit. It is availableat major retailersor you can buy itonlineat www_rilllovers.com.
