owner and installer to determine if additional requirements and standards apply in
specific installations.
The cooker is only guaranteed safe to use if installed by a specialist in accordance
with these installation instructions. The installer is liable for any damage resulting
from incorrect installation.
To eliminate the risk of burns or fire by reaching over heated surface units, cabinet
storage space located above the surface units should be avoided. Ifcabinet storage
isto be provided, the risk can be reduced by installing a range hood that projects
horizontally a minimum of 5" (127mm) beyond the bottom of the cabinet.
Do not install refrigerators, dishwashers, non-fan-assisted ovens or washing
machines which fit underneath the cooktop.
Note: We strongly recommend the installation of a ventilation system with this
appliance.

Preparation
Countertop requirements

The countertop must be level and horizontal. The stability of the countertop must still
be guaranteed after the cutout has been made.
After preparing cutout, remove shavings as they can affect the function of electrical
components.
Seal the cutout surfaces to make them heat-resistant. This prevents the surfaces
from swelling as a result of moisture.
Solid surface countertops often require special installations. For example, heat
reflective tape and rounded corners may be necessary. Contact the countertop
manufacturer for instructions specific to your countertop.

reduced to 24" (610mm) when the bottom of the wood or metal cabinet is protected
by not less than 1/4" (6.35mm)-thick flame-retardant millboard covered with not less
than no. 28 MSG sheet steel, 1/64" (0.4 mm) thick stainless steel, 1/36" (0.6 mm)
aluminum or 1/36" (0.6 mm)thick copper.

installation procedure
_IL WARNING: Use protective gloves while installing the cooktop.
Sealing tape
Turn cooktop upside down and fix the sealing tape on the edge of the cooktop.

Secure cooktop to
countertop
The cooktop should be secured to the countertop using the clamps provided.
Prior to inserting cooktop into cutout, attach clamps to the corresponding slots.
Place cooktop into cutout.

Insert clamping screws into the bracket and secure cooktop to countertop. Use a
wood block to protect fragile countertop materials.
A minumum clearance of 1/8"(3mm) is required between the unit and any oven
installed beneath it.

You can find the identification plate with the electrical specifications on the underside
of the appliance. The junctionbox must be located within 3 feet of the cooktop
connection. It should be easily accessible for service purposes.
