Congratulations on your new TheraForm™ Elite Task Chair. Designed with your optimal health
and wellness in mind, the Elite Task Chair incorporates Far Infrared heat technology and
scientically designed ergonomic features to promote correct spinal alignment. Integrated into
the adjustable lumbar cushion is a battery-operated Far Infrared heating pad with temperature
controls. This pad provides both Far Infrared heat and Negative Ions for enhanced therapeutic
and health maintenance benets. The specially designed contoured seat features our uniquely
engineered TheraLife™ Foam that conforms to your body, evenly distributing your weight to
help prevent painful pressure points. You can work longer and feel refreshed while treating
yourself with these healthful benets.
The TheraForm™ Elite Task Chair, with its clean lines and contemporary styling, features a
lightweight breathable polyester mesh back, with either the TheraLife™ Fabric seat cushion or
Premium Leather covered seat cushion. The Premium Leather seat cushion may be combined
with our distinctive Perforated Premium Leather upholstered over the mesh back, which allows
the mesh back to maintain its breathability.
TheraLife™ Fabric
This specially designed knit fabric features high performance, four-way stretch movement
which increases the eectiveness of our TheraLife™ Foam. TheraLife™ Fabric upholsters
beautifully, and because it surpasses the industry’s long-term durability standards, is suitable
for residential, oce, or high trac commercial seating. Recommended care includes regular
vacuuming and spot cleaning with a slightly damp cloth when necessary. For deeper cleaning
consult a professional upholstery cleaner.
Premium Leather
The TheraForm™ Elite Task Chair features the nest premium full grain leather hides. Premium
leather requires minimal care and cleaning. Use a damp white cloth to remove residual dirt and
dust. Wipe dry with a clean white cloth. The use of chemical cleaners will damage the leather
and void the warranty.
Warranty
Limited Lifetime Warranty for leather, three years for non-leather materials and parts, and
one year for all parts related to the Far Infrared heat Technology. For complete details of

Far Infrared heat is natural energy!

BATTERY INSTRUCTIONS
• Your TheraForm™ Elite Task Chair utilizes a 7.4 volt Lithium Ion SMART battery.
• Use only the battery and the battery recharger that is provided with the chair.
• Fully charged, the battery will last from four to six hours, depending on the level of heat
used.
• Recharge the battery ONLY when it has been completely discharged.
• To recharge the Lithium Ion SMART battery,
• remove the battery pack from its holder located on the back of the chair and plug it
into the charger.
• plug the charger into a standard 110 volt wall socket.
• allow up to three hours for the battery to charge, or until the red (“still charging”) light
changes to a green indicator light.
• unplug the battery from the charger, put the battery into its holder (located on the back
of the chair) and plug in the lumbar cushion pad into the battery.
DO NOT OVERCHARGE THE BATTERY. This will shorten the life of the battery.
• Always recharge the battery as soon as possible after it becomes fully discharged. A
battery will be permanently damaged if it is left for an extended length of time in a fully
discharged state.
Press the green ON/SETUP/ OFF button. Each time you press the button, a corresponding
white, green, or orange light will appear indicating if your system is O, or on Hi or Low.
• Operating on Hi, the charge will last approximately six hours.
• Operating on Low, the charge will last approximately four hours.

THE ENERGIZING TRUTH ABOUT BATTERIES…
What is a 7.4 volt Lithium Ion SMART battery?
It is a rechargeable battery common in portable consumer electronics because of its high
energy-to-weight ratios, lack of memory eect, and slow self-discharge when not in use.
Even with recharging, when does this type of battery need to be replaced?
With normal use, the battery industry informs consumers that these batteries have a 30%
degradation per year. With an expected number of charge cycles, our engineers inform us that
after two years of average use, the battery may have to be replaced.
Is the battery ready for use when I receive my chair?
Yes! Most Lithium Ion batteries arrive from the factory 80% charged. It is always recommended
that you allow a battery to discharge completely before recharging.
Are Lithium Batteries safe?
Don’t ask us, ask IBM, Dell, Sony, Toshiba, Apple, Compaq, and all of the notebook manufacturers!
Yes, if used for the purpose intended, these batteries are very safe. Yet it is very important
to remember that these batteries are still sources of power and should not be exposed to
high temperatures (including prolonged direct sunlight), should not be placed in an oven or
microwave, should not be abused or neglected, and should not be opened or modied.
What is the life of the battery and how are these batteries disposed of?
All batteries have a nite life. The life will depend upon how you charge and discharge the
battery and the temperature at which the battery is maintained. According to the Responsible
Energy Corporation, Lithium Ion batteries, like all rechargeable batteries, are recyclable and
should be recycled. They should never be incinerated as they might explode. Most places that
sell rechargeable batteries will accept them for recycling as will TheraForm.

HOW TO PERSONALIZE YOUR TASK CHAIR
Tilt Lock and Back Angle Tension Adjustment
• To release the tilt lock control, pull the handle up on the left side of the chair and rock the
chair until you hear a click. This releases the auto lock so the chair will move freely like a
rocking chair.
• To lock the seat in the desired position, push the handle on the left side down.
• To adjust the tension of the rocking motion, turn the knob located in the center
underneath the chair. Turning the knob to the right (clockwise) will increase the tension,
while turning to the left (counterclockwise) will loosen the tension.
Seat Height Adjustment
• To adjust the seat height, pull up on the larger handle on the right side of the chair.
Seat Depth Adjustment
• To adjust the seat forward or backward, pull up the smaller handle on the right side of the
chair. Release the smaller handle once the seat is in the desired position.
Adjustable Arms
• To adjust the arm height, pull up the release underneath each arm pad and move to the
desired position.
Adjustable Lumbar Height
• To adjust the lumbar height, reach behind the mesh back, grip the lumbar cushion and
move to the desired position.

SQUEAKS AND CREAKS
• Lubricate the spring in the control with motorcycle chain lubricant or self-penetrating oil.
DO NOT USE SOLVENT LUBRICANTS AND DO NOT LUBRICATE THE CLUTCH PLATES.
Sometimes new chairs need time to break in, so wait a few days to see if the noise
disappears.
• Gas lifts will squeak if left idle for extended periods of time. Lifting and lowering your chair
and rotating in your chair a few times will eliminate these squeaks.
• Check the Arm Caps to make sure that they are tightly attached to the Arm Bracket. If not,
use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten.
• Periodically check the casters and remove any carpet lint or grime. On chairs that are never
moved, check the bottom of the casters for at spots. Replace the casters if necessary.
• Using carpet casters on a plastic chair mat will make noise. This can be easily corrected by
using soft wheel casters instead.
• If the lumbar pad is not heating, check to insure that the battery is fully connected.
• The recommended weight limit for this product is 250 lbs.
