Batteries
• Improper use of batteries may cause the batteries to be destroyed, or lead to

• Only use the batteries supplied in accordance with the instructions in the

Product-specific information
• Do not carry out measurements on live components.
• Do not expose handles and feed lines to temperatures in excess of 70°C
unless they are expressly approved for higher temperatures. Temperature
specifications on probes/sensors refer only to the measuring range of the
sensor system.
• Only open the measuring instrument if this is expressly described in the
documentation for the purposes of maintenanc e or serv i cing .
Intended use
The testo 545 is a lux meter. It is normally used to measure illuminance, e.g. in
workplaces. It is intended for indoor use only.
The product should not be used in the followi ng areas:
• In potentially explosive atmospheres.

be displayed can be selected by tapping on a reading above the diagram.
• Table view:
In the table view, all readings are displayed in sequence according to date
and time. Different readings from the individual measuring probes can be
displayed by pressing ◄ ►.
