CLIPPER USE AND CARE
Only use the appliance as described in this User Guide. • Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. • Do not expose the appliance to excessive moisture, dust or dirt.• Do not allow the appliance to be exposed to rain or moisture • during use or storage. Never pull the mains lead to unplug the appliance.• Do not operate the appliance if the mains lead is damaged.• Always check the blades for alignment before use.• Do not use the appliance if the teeth are damaged.• The appliance can become hot during use, only use for a • maximum of 30 minutes then allow to cool for 30 minutes. The appliance is only intended for clipping human hair. Do not • use for any other purpose. Always check the appliance for damage prior to use. If any • damage is observed, do not use the appliance. Always switch the appliance o after use. • This appliance has no user serviceable parts. Do not attempt to • access the appliance covers. This appliance is for personal use only. It is not suitable for • commercial use. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including • children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play • with the appliance. Do not place the appliance on or near a heat-sensitive surface.• Lubricating oil must be placed away from re sources and out of • the reach of children. Do not drink the lubricating oil or allow it to contact the eyes.• If lubricating oil enters the eyes, lay the person down, gently • ush the eyes with cold water from a container for 15 minutes, then seek medical help.

Close supervision is necessary if the appliance is operated near • children.
Never leave the appliance unattended while switched on, or still • hot.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Switch o the appliance before connecting it to the mains • supply.
Switch o and unplug the appliance after use.• Do not allow the mains lead to touch hot objects.• To protect against electric shock, never allow the appliance, •
the mains cable or plug to come into contact with water or any other liquid.
Never reach for any appliance that has fallen into water. Switch • o the power supply at the mains immediately and unplug. Do not re-use until the product has been inspected and approved by a qualied electrician.
Always ensure that hands are dry before operating or adjusting • any switch on the product or touching the plug and mains supply connections.
Never leave the appliance unattended when connected to the • mains power supply.
Keep all ventilation slots, lters etc. uncovered and clear of • debris. Never drop or insert objects into the openings. Do not carry the appliance by the mains lead.•
Never pull the mains lead to unplug the appliance.• Regularly check the mains lead for damage, particularly where it •
enters the product and the plug. The mains lead for this appliance cannot be replaced. If the • mains lead is damaged, the appliance should be discarded.
STORAGE
The appliance should never be stored whilst hot or whilst • still connected to the mains. Always ensure the appliance is switched o, unplugged from the mains and has cooled down before storing. Never wrap the mains lead around the appliance. Do not hang • up the appliance by the mains lead, use the hanging loop provided.

UNPACKING
In the box you should nd the appliance and the accessories shown in the Main Components drawing.
Remove all the packing from these and retain the packaging. If you dispose of it, please do so according to any recycling regulations.
If items are missing or damaged, contact your nearest Tesco store for assistance.
Read and retain this user guide. If you pass the appliance to a third party, make sure to include this user guide.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: NEVER USE THE APPLIANCE ON WET HAIR. IT IS ONLY DESIGNED FOR USE ON DRY HAIR.
When using this appliance for the rst time it is advisable to experiment initially on an area of light hair growth.
Before starting, comb the hair 1. in the direction of hair growth as shown.
Remove the guard from the 2. blade.
The Comb Attachments each 3. cut hair to a dierent length.
Comb Cut length
1 ..................3mm (1/8”)
2 ..................6mm (1/4”)
3 ..................9mm (3/8”)
4 ..................13mm (1/2”)
Select the Comb Attachment 4. for the cutting length you require and clip the Comb Attachment over the Blade Assembly.
NOTE:- It is advisable to start with the longest cut, #4, and cut again with a dierent comb if a shorter cut is required.
Check that the Clippers are 5. switched o, then plug them into the mains.
Switch on the Clippers by 6. setting the On/o Switch to the ‘ON’ position.
Move the Adjustable Lever to 7. the upward position (shortest cut) when using one of the Comb Attachments.

Holding the Comb Attachment 8. against the head with the teeth pointing upwards and at against the scalp, start by clipping the sides from the bottom of the head upwards. Slowly move the Clippers up towards the top of the head cutting small amounts at a time.
Repeat step 8 around 9. both sides and the back of the head.
Position the Clippers 5. so that only one edge contacts the hair.
Slowly shape the hair 6. around the ears and contour the neckline by positioning the blades against the neck and moving downwards.
For nal trimming of the hair, fringe or beard, use the scissors 7. supplied.
After use
When you have nished, switch o the Clippers by setting the power switch to the ‘0’ position.
Always clean the blades after use with the brush provided.
Align the blades so that the 7. upper cutting blade tips are positioned approximately
1.2mm beneath the xed lower blade tips.
Tighten the securing screws 8. fully.
Re-check the alignment of 9. the blades as described in step 7.

Clip the top of the head from 10. front to back.
NOTE:- Do not push the Clippers or force the Clippers through the hair.
To contour the neckline and area around the ears
WARNING: The Clipper blades are very sharp when unguarded.
CAUTION: Care should be taken when using the Clippers without a Comb Attachment tted as the Clippers will remove any hair that comes into contact with the blades.
Switch o the Clippers.1. Unclip any Comb Attachment 2.

CARE AND CLEANING
The appliance must be unplugged before cleaning.
The black plastic Comb Attachments should be cleaned in 1. running water. Ensure they are completely dry before using them.
Clean the blades with the Cleaning Brush provided to remove 2. remaining loose hair clippings.
Clean the housing of the Clippers with a soft, dry cloth.3. The cutting blades should be lightly oiled with the oil provided 4.
once every few haircuts.
DO NOT use any harsh detergents, abrasives, solvents or cleaners. NEVER immerse in water to clean.
Dry thoroughly before use.
To remove the cutting blades
Periodically it is advisable to remove, clean and re-align the Blade Assembly for more thorough cleaning.
Remove the two Philips screws securing the blade guard.1. Lift o the two-part Blade Assembly.2. Clean the Blade Assembly and inside the housing thoroughly 3.
with the Cleaning Brush provided. Lightly oil the contact area between the blades.4. Re-assemble the Blade Assembly to the Clippers and re-t the 5.
Philips screws. Do not tighten them fully at this stage. Set the Adjustable Lever up to the ‘shortest cut’ position.6.
WARRANTY
Your appliance is covered by a warranty for 12 months from the date of purchase. If a fault develops during this period, please return the unit to your nearest Tesco store together with the original receipt as proof of purchase. This warranty in no way aects your consumer rights.
