SAFETY GUIDE - PLEASE READ
CAREFULLY
Please follow all the safety precautions listed below for safety and to reduce the risk of injury or electrical shock.
$Read all the instructions carefully before using your
blender and keep them for future reference.
$Unplug the appliance from the mains supply when not in
use, when removing or attaching accessories, or before cleaning any part of the appliance.
$This appliance is for occasional household use only. $Do not use outdoors or in damp conditions. $Do not immerse the motor unit or the electrical cord or plug
in liquids.
$Do not use near a source of heat or on an unstable surface. $Never let children operate this appliance. Close supervision
is necessary when this appliance is used near children.
$Ensure that the power cord does not touch any hot surface
and that it does not overhang the edge of your work surface.
$When unplugging the power cord, hold the plug top, not
the power cord.
$Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug
or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
$Do not use attachments or accessories which are not
recommended by the manufacturer. They may cause malfunction or injury.
$Do not attempt to replace the power cord on this appliance.
This should only be carried out by authorised service personnel with specialist tools.
$Store the processor away from direct sunlight and out of
the reach of children.
$There are no user serviceable parts in your appliance
Unauthorised dismantling or servicing will void the product warranty.
$Do not use the appliance for any purpose not expressly
specified in this manual.
When operating your blender and attachments:
Using the blender:
$When the blender is not in use make sure that it is safely
unplugged from the mains supply.
$To reduce the risk of injury, never place the cutting blade on
base without first putting the bowl properly in place.
$When using the blender ensure there is adequate room in
the vessel to avoid splashing the contents.
$After each operation, allow the blender to cool for 3
$The blade on this blender is sharp. Treat it with care at all
times and never allow fingers, hair, or clothing to come into contact with the blade.
$If you wish to scrape the contents of the bowl with a spatula,
remove the blender first.
$Do not process food containing hard objects which cannot
be safely broken up by the blade.
$Do not use the blender with hot liquids. $Do not yank or pull the cord as this may damage it and
eventually cause a risk of electric shock.
$To protect against fire, do not operate the unit in the
presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
$Keep the blender out of the reach of children.
Additional instructions for using the whisk
$Treat the whisk with care. The wire hoops are fragile - do
not bend or distort them.
$If the wire hoops are bent or the whisk becomes
unbalanced, stop using the product. An unbalanced whisk is potentially dangerous and could damage the motor.
$Only use the whisk with liquids, creams, egg whites, etc. If
you want to cream using butter or solid fats, make sure they are very soft before starting, or use the blender attachment.
$Do not add solid ingredients into a mixture when whisking. $Support the jug or bowl.
Additional instructions for using the chopper
$Exercise care when handling the blade assembly. The sharp
edge may cause injury. When inserting or removing the blade, hold the assembly by the shaft.
$Ensure the lid is securely locked in place before operating
the appliance.
$When filling or emptying the processor bowl, switch off the
blender and detach it from the lid before opening the lid to add or remove ingredients.
$Do not chop meat with bones or fruits with hard stones. $If the chopper gets clogged, switch off, unplug from the
mains and detach the motor from the lid before clearing the obstruction.
$Make sure the appliance is on a sturdy work surface. Use
both hands to hold the appliance.
NOTE: Never process very hot liquids. This is dangerous. DANGER OF SCALDING!

PRELIMINARIES your mains voltage:
Unpacking
Unpack your blender carefully. In the carton you should find:
$Hand Blender Motor $Blender Wand $Whisk $Whisk Jug $Chopper: This consists of the Bowl, Lid, Blade assembly. $One wall bracket for housing the assembled blender.
If any items are missing or damaged return the item to your nearest Tesco store for replacement. Please have your receipt with you when you call.
Retain the packaging. If you dispose of the packaging do so with regard to any recycling regulations in your area.
Before using your blender for the first time:
$Check that the voltage marked on the rating plate matches

$Please read all the instructions in this User Guide with
particular reference to the safety notes.
$Clean the blender. Refer to the cleaning notes pn Page 6
for instructions.
Important Note:
$The maximum time you can run the unit with no load is 15
seconds.
$The blender is a two speed unit: When using the
blender at high speed the maximum time you can run the unit is 1 minute. After each minute of continuous use, switch off and let the motor rest for a further three minutes before continuing.
$Blades are very sharp, handle them with care.
$Ensure that the blender motor is unplugged from the
power outlet before assembling or removing attachments.

ASSEMBLY AND USE
BLENDER AND WHISK
The blender and the whisk are both hand held appliances.
To attach the motor:
$Make sure the motor is unplugged.
$Hold the motor in one hand and the attachment in the
other.
$Push the attachment against the motor and rotate the
motor clockwise to lock the motor and the attachment.
$Make sure the attachment is firmly locked to the motor
before use.
$Now plug in the whisk or hand blender and switch
the power on at the mains socket to use the appliance.
To detach the motor:
$Unplug the appliance.
$Hold the motor in one hand and the attachment in the
other. Rotate the motor anti-clockwise to separate the motor and the attachment.
Using the hand blender
The blender is ideal for making purees, cold sauces, mayonnaise, or even for mixing drinks.
Low Speed
High Speed
Introduce the blender into the food before switching it on to avoid splashing. Press and hold down the appropriate button to switch the blender on. Release the button to switch the unit off.
Use the slow speed where possible especially when you commence blending or if you are smoothing out lumps or reducing food to a puree. The high speed can be used as a finishing touch or when a particularly fine mix is needed.
NEVER use the blender in a vessel while it is being heated on the stove. NEVER let the base of the blade housing come into prolonged contact with the body of a vessel while blending.
Using the whisk
You may use the supplied measuring jug to whisk ingredients such as egg white, light batters, cream etc. If you are whisking egg white, the jug will accommodate two egg whites - use a large bowl for extra amounts.
Press and hold down the appropriate button to switch on. Introduce the whisk into the food before switching it on to avoid splashing. Use the slow speed where possible -the high speed can be used as a finishing touch. Release the button to switch the unit off.
NEVER let the wires of the whisk come into prolonged contact with the body of a vessel while blending.

ASSEMBLING AND USING THE CHOPPPER
$Place the chopper bowl on a clean, level and stable
surface.
$Hold the blade assembly by the stem and insert the blade
onto the spindle.
$Place food into the chopper bowl. Remove bones from meat, stones from fruit, etc. and cut the
food into small pieces before you place the food into the bowl. The max quantity of food you can process at any on tile should
not exceed 200g.
$Attach the Lid on the chopper bowl. $Locate the lid over the blade spindle and align the slots in
the lid with the mounting lugs in the bowl.
LOCK
$Turn the lid clockwise until it locks into position.
$Make sure the motor is unplugged. $Insert the motor into the hole in the chopper lid. $Hold the motor in one hand and the chopper bowl in the
other. Rotate the motor clockwise to lock it to the chopper.
$Make sure the motor and the chopper lid are firmly locked
in place before use.
$Now plug in the appliance and switch the power on.
Use both hands to operate!
$
Operate the processor in short bursts. It may be necessary
$
with some foods to stop the unit, and re-distribute the food before continuing.
To disassemble the chopper
$Unplug the appliance.
$Hold the motor in one hand and the chopper in the other.
Rotate the motor anti-clockwise to separate the motor and the attachment. Rotate the lid anti clockwise and remove.
Remove the blade before spooning out the food.
$
LOCK
CLEANING AND STORAGE
Unplug the appliance after use.
$Disassemble the appliance into its component parts. $Wash the blender stem under running water, without the
use of abrasive cleaner or detergents.
Note: Do not immerse the stem in water because over time the lubrication on the bearings will deteriorate.
$After finishing cleaning the detachable stem, place it
upright to drain. The stem is dishwasher safe.
$Wash the jug, bowl, beater and blade in warm soapy
water. The bowl and the jug are not dishwasher safe.
$Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse it in
water for cleaning - DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK.
$Dry all components thoroughly. Caution: Blades are very sharp, handle with care. $Reassemble all the components.
Storage
$Store the whisk upside down in the jug and store the jug
and the chopper in a dry place out of the reach of children.
$The blender may be stored in a cupboard or wall mounted.
WARRANTY
Your TESCO appliance is covered by a warranty for 12 months from the date of purchase. If a fault develops during this period, please return the unit to your nearest Tesco store together with the original receipt as proof of purchase. This warranty in no way affects your consumer rights.

Wall mounting: Ensure the wall an support the blender and bracket. Choose a mounting location away from heat and damp and out of the reach of children. There should be at least 300mm of free space above and 350mm below the bracket.

Draw a horizontal line on the wall and mark off two vertical lines 51mm apart. Drill a 6mm hole at each intersection and insert one of the supplied wall plugs in each hole. Insert the supplied screws through the mounting holes and screw the bracket firmly to the wall. Do NOT overtighten. Lead the blender through the opening at the front of the bracket and lower the appliance onto the bracket.
Form the cable into a loop and lead it from the top through the slot on the right of the bracket. Now lower the plug into the slot.
