Telex MCP90-8 Data Sheet

Technical Data Sheet
Description
The MCP-90 series microphones are phantom-powered “back-electret” miniature condenser gooseneck microphones. The back-electret feature provides greater sensitivity, wider frequency response, and superior immunity from handling noise than a diaphragm-electret microphone. The removable windscreen provides pop filtering, response-shaping and overload protection to further enhance the acoustic performance of the microphone. The MCP-90 mircorphones are mechnically designed for quick, easy mounting to RTS™ keypanels and selected Audiocom® intercoms. The frequency response is tailored for full-range sound reproduction with natural sound pick-up optimized for close-up use. The microphones are fitted with a threaded TRS male connector that is compatible with RTS™ standard threaded TRS female connectors. The MCP-90 series is designed to be phantom powered with a wide voltage range of 1.5 to 9 VDC.

specifications
The microphone is a single-D cardioid backelectret condenser type with frequency response of 100 to 15,000 Hz. The microphone has an output impedance compatible with RTS™ equipment. The output level is -44 dB (0 dB= 1mW/pascal). The microphone has a back-electret generating element whose output will not be appreciably affected by temperature extremes from -29°C (-20°F) to 74°C (135°F) and/or humidity extremes. The microphone is fitted with a threaded TRS male type connector that is compatible with RTS™ keypanels.
The RTS™ MCP-90-3 is specified.
The RTS™ MCP-90-8 is specified.
Installation
Insert the TRS end of the microphone into the threaded TRS connector. When the threads are reached, begin turning the microphone (as a unit) in a clockwise manner until the microphone is completely screwed into the unit.
The RTS™ MCP-90-12 is specified.
The RTS™ MCP-90-18 is specified.
