Board Configuration
Description
This document contains information on the PIO-96J-26636 Parallel
Digital I/O Board. The PIO-96J-26636 is the standard PIO-96J with
RN1-12 populated with 10k Ω resistor networks (Keithley p/n 09698).
The onboard 10k Ω pull-up resistors are connected between each channel
and the +5V. This prevents a floating input when a contact is open and
gives CMOS compatibility for TTL signals. Replacement resistors,
p/n 09698, can be ordered from Keithley. Figure 1 shows how this resistor makes an input of a PIO-96J-26636 board an effective circuit for
monitoring contact closure. See Figure 1 for resistor connections. Refer
to the PIO-96J User’s manual for all other information concerning the
PIO-96J-26636.
