AC Power Cord Connection
To connect the power cord to your RX-32 simply plug female side of the power cord into the power cord input which is on the rear of the RX-32 Then plug
the male side of the power cord to an electric outlet. The AC power cord s supplied purposefu lly have 2 blad es and on e grounding prong. If your o utlet is
not equipped to handle this type of plug, do not attempt to forcefully plug this AC power cord into the outlet, and do not alter the plug so that it can fit in the
outlet. The only course of action you can take is to find another outlet which is properly equipped to handle a grounded plug or have an electrician upgrade
your electrical outlet. Be sure that the plug is well connected so that it doesn’t fall out while you are in the middle of usage. If at any point in time the
supplied AC power cord is punctured or damaged replace it with a new power cord from a local electrician.
Power Switch
After the power cord is connected the unit will still not be powered on until the power switch is pushed into the “On” position. When turned on, the display
screen of the RX-32 will light up to indicate that the unit is indeed powered on and ready to receive and power a signal. Once the unit is switched off, the screen
will turn off after a few seconds.
NOTE: ONLY PLUG IN THE AC POWER CORD WHILE THE UNIT’S POWER SWITCH IS IN THE OFF POSITION AND THE VOLUME IS TURNED DOWN.
TURNING ON THE UNIT WITH THE VOLUME TURNED UP MAY CAUSE THE UNIT OR ANY SPEAKERS CONNECTED TO IT TO BLOW. ALWAYS TURN DOWN
THE VOLUME PRIOR TO TURNING OFF THE UNIT. UPON POWERING ON, THIS UNIT WILL UNDERGO A SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TEST TO INSURE THAT ALL
FEATURES OF THIS UNIT ARE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY.
Input / Output Connections
Connecting the Signal Source to the RX-32 (CD/DVD/TAPE/MIXER etc.)
RX-32
The RX-32 has a multiple RCA input jacks on the rear of the unit which is de signed to receive the signal directly from your CD, DVD, mixer, tape deck or any of
your other 2 Channel signal sources.
the CD/DVD player has a RCA cord coming from it’s output and that this cord is plugging i nto the RCA Input on the rear of the RX-32. Ensure that the
polarity of your signal is always maintained by using color coordinated RCA cables. Additionally, using balanced connections help to ensure that there is
less hum in your signal, especially when the cables connecting to your speakers are long cables.
NOTE: BE SURE NOT TO HOOK-UP AN AMPLIFIER OR AN Y AMPLIFIED SIGNAL INTO THE RCA INPUT JACK AS T HIS COULD DAMAGE THE RX-32. NO
OTHER AMPLIFIER IS NEEDED TO POWER YOUR SIGNAL IN ADDITION TO THE RX-32. ALWAYS MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE AMPLIFIER IN
THE SIGNAL PATH.
To ensure that you have correctly connected your CD/DVD player (other sound sources) to your RX-32 make sure that
Connecting Two Microphones to the RX-32
There are two ¼" inputs on the face of the RX-32 which you can plug microphones directly into. It is important to note that these inputs are to be used
solely by microphones. Do not attempt to use the ¼" inputs for any other use. To use, simply plug the microphones into the ¼" inputs while the speaker
and microphones are in the OFF position. Once plugged in, power on the RX-32 and microphones. Once turned on, simply turn up the Microphone Volume
and the Master Volume.
RX-32
Connecting the RX-32 to Passive Loudspeakers
The RX-32 is designed to power two full-range passive loudspea kers and three surround sound speakers. The sp eakers should be connected via the
banana plugs (or speaker wire) on the rear of the unit.
NOTE: WHEN MAKING THESE CONNECTIONS THE POWER OF THE RX-32, THE SIGNAL SOURCE (CD/DVD/MIXER ), AND THE SPEAKER SHOULD ALL BE
IN THE OFF POSITION WITH THE VOLUME KNOBS TURNED DOWN. ONCE THE UNITS ARE ALL POWERED ON SLOWLY INCREASE THE VOLUME TO
AVOID DAMAGING ANY OF YOUR EQUIPMENT. (THE RX-32 OPERATES MOST EFFICIENTLY WHEN USED WITH 8 OHM SPEAKERS).
Volume and Tone Controls
The volume control on the face of the RX-32 controls the volume at which the signal is played at. Turn the volume co ntrol clockwise to increase the volume
and counter-clockwise to decrease the volume. Additionally there are Bass and Treble controls on the front panel of the RX-32. To manipulate either of
these simply turn the Bass or Treble knobs to a level at which you are satisfied with.
Microphone Controls
The two microphone inputs have many options which can be controlled on the front panel of the RX-32. The microphone volume control can be found on
the face of the RX-32. Use this contr ol to ad just the volume of the microphones. There are a lso three microphone sound controls on the face of the RX-32,
an echo control, a bass control and a treble control. Us e these controls t o adjust the sound from the micropho nes.
