High speed and durable with superior functionality. Perfect for the widest
range of in-vehicle delivery and receipt applications, the MD-480i is ideal for
environments requiring multiple copies.

The 180o degree cover opening facility allows easy
operation and replacement of the ribbon cassette.

With an impressive paper width range of 102 to
267mm (4” to 10.5”), producing small or large
format documents is easy, either loose leaf or
fanfold (with an optional paper storage stand).
Multi-part forms? No problem, including the
original, up to 7 copies (with special paper) can
be produced at one time.

The small footprint of the MD-480i guarantees total
flexibility for in-cab printing.

The long-life 24-wire printhead has an
expected life of 300 million impacts and
each ribbon lasts up to 4 million characters,
keeping intervention and downtime to a
minimum. Robust engineering and long-life
product design also contribute to a low total
cost of ownership.

PERFORMANCE IN
ANY ENVIRONMENT

From refrigerated storage units to sweltering
lorry cabs, this printer is specifically designed to
perform reliably in extreme temperatures, from
a chilly -20oC to a stifling 60oC (-4oF to 140oF).
The operating buttons are back-lit so it
remains simple to operate even in darkness
and the ergonomic cover protects the unit from
liquid and dust.

FLEXIBLE

CONNECTIVITY &
INTEGRATION

Communicate with the Toshiba MD-480i
using the in-built Bluetooth®, serial or
high speed USB 2.0 interfaces. With IBM
Proprinter XL24e and Epson ESC/P2
emulation, integrating this device into existing
systems is straightforward.

LOW COST OF

OWNERSHIP

The printer can be powered from the
in-vehicle power supply, reducing the need
for batteries and lowering the ongoing
operation costs. Sleep mode functionality
dramatically reduces the power consumption
of the unit, typically to an output of 2 watts,
compared to 7 watts for normal stand-by
mode. The long-life printhead further reduces
the total cost of ownership.

The addition of a customisable vehicle mount plate for the
dashboard ensures the printer installation can be tailored to
meet the needs of any customer’s vehicle (exact specification
may vary according to country).
