IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
Important: This appliance can be used by children over 8 years old
and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or
with a lack of experience or knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance
and the risks involved.

❑ Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord
cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the
appliance and do not bend it.
❑ Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
❑ Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and
storing it.
❑ Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of
the appliance.
❑ The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be very high
when the appliance is in use. Never touch those surfaces during
use, and only handle the buttons. Should the symbol be
indicated on a certain surface, you need to be careful when
handling the product. This symbol means: CAUTION, this surface
may get very hot during use.
❑ Make sure the appliance never comes into contact with
inflammable materials, such as curtains, cloth, etc. when it is in
use, as a fire might occur.
❑ Always unplug the appliance when it is not in use, especially
since it is not equipped with an on/off switch.
❑ Be extremely careful, as oil or fat preparations might catch fire
when overheated.
❑ When using the appliance under an extractor hood, make sure to
observe the minimal distance advised by the producer. It is even
wiser to double this distance.
❑ Only use the appliance for food that is supposed to be cooked.
❑ Immediately unplug the appliance if a crack appears and make
sure it is controlled by a qualified competent electrician

FIELD OF APPLICATION/OF OPERATION
• Use the appliance for domestic purposes only and in the way indicated in these
instructions.
• This appliance is intended to be used for domestic applications and similar applications
such as:
o Kitchen corners reserved for personnel in shops, offices and other professional
environments.
o Farms.
o The use by clients of hotels, motels and other environments with a residential
character.
o Environments of the “bed and breakfast” type.
USE
• First check that the voltage marked on the product is the same as your supply voltage.
• Select a suitable position close to an electric socket, on a dry and even surface.
• Make sure the control is in the OFF position (MIN). Plug in.
• The invisible protective coating must be removed before you can use the appliance. To
do this, set the control to the maximum setting and leave switched on for approximately
3-5 minutes. Smoke will develop make sure that the room is ventilated. Switch off the
cooking plate and allow to cool down completely. The cooking plate is now ready for
use.
• Always use flat-bottomed saucepans, which make good contact with the cooking plate.
The saucepan bases should ideally be of the same size as the cooking plate.
• Select the temperature. Turn temperature controller from "MIN" to "MAX" and adjust during
cooking as needed. The cooking plate has a range of temperatures. The indicator light will
turn on to indicate that the cooker is heating. The indicator light will turn off when it
reaches the selected temperature.
• Due to the cooking plate’s construction, residual heat will remain after switching off. This
may be used to keep food warm for a short period.
• After use, turn the temperature dial to "MIN" and unplug the appliance from the electrical
outlet.
Note:
• Use only stainless steel, aluminium and ceramic. NOT GLASS.
• Use cooking pots or pans that have a flat base.
• The diameter of the pan base needs to be smaller than the diameter of the heating
plate.
CLEANING
• Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance to cool down.
• Wipe with a moistened cloth.
• Do not clean with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this will damage the finish.
• Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.

PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT – DIRECTIVE 2012/19/EC
In order to preserve our environment and protect human health, the waste electrical and
electronic equipment should be disposed of in accordance with specific rules with the
implication of both suppliers and users. For this reason, as indicated by the symbol on the
rating label or on the packaging, your appliance should not be disposed of as unsorted
municipal waste. The user has the right to bring it to a municipal collection point performing
waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications in accordance with
the directive.
ERP DECLARATION – REGULATION 1275/2008/EC
We, Team Kalorik NV/SA, hereby confirm that our product meets the requirements of regulation
1275/2008/EC. Admittedly, our product does not dispose of a function to minimize the power
consumption, which should according to regulation 1275/2008/EC put the product in off or
standby mode after finishing the main function, but this is practically impossible, as it would
compromise the main function of the product so strongly, that using the product would no
longer be possible!
For this reason we always tell the customer in our instruction manual to unplug the appliance
immediately after the cooking is finished.

service (see warranty card).

WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSVORSCHRIFTEN
Lesen Sie aufmerksam die Gebrauchsanleitung, bevor Sie Ihr Gerät

❑ Benutzen Sie nur Zubehör, welches vom Lieferanten empfohlen
wurde. Anderes Zubehör stellt eine Gefahr für den Benutzer dar
und das Gerät könnte dadurch beschädigt werden.
❑ Ziehen Sie niemals an der Anschlussleitung, um das Gerät zu
bewegen. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Anschlussleitung nicht
zufälligerweise irgendwo hängen bleibt und dies zum Fall des
Gerätes führen könnte. Wickeln Sie die Anschlussleitung nicht um
das Gerät und knicken Sie sie nicht.

ANWENDUNGSBEREICH/TÄTIGKEITSBEREICH
• Verwenden Sie dieses Gerät nur wie in der Bedienungsanleitung beschrieben. Jeglicher
andere Gebrauch kann zu Schäden am Gerät oder Verletzungen führen.
• Dieses Gerät ist nicht für kommerziellen Gebrauch geeignet. Es ist nur für die Nutzung im
Haushalt und ähnlichen Anwendungen konzipiert, wie beispielsweise:
o in Küchen für Mitarbeiter in Läden, Büros und anderen gewerblichen
Bereichen;
o von Kunden in Hotels, Motels und anderen Wohneinrichtungen;
o in Frühstückspensionen;
o in landwirtschaftlichen Anwesen.
BEDIENUNG
• Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Spannung auf dem Gerät mit der Ihrer Anlage
übereinstimmt.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine unempfindliche, ebene Unterlage, in der Nähe einer
Steckdose.
• Der Schalter der Kochplatte muss auf der Aus-Stellung stehen (MIN). Stecken Sie den
Stecker in die Steckdose.
• Vor dem Gebrauch heizen Sie die Kochplatte ohne Topf ca. 3-5 Minuten auf höchster
Stufe auf. Bitte stören Sie sich nicht an der kurzzeitigen Rauchentwicklung. Schalten Sie das
Gerät aus und lassen Sie es abkühlen. Die Kochplatte kann nun benutzt werden.
• Verwenden Sie grundsätzlich nur Kochtöpfe und Pfannen, die für den Gebrauch auf
Elektroherden ausgelegt sind und dem Durchmesser der Kochplatte entsprechen. Bei
unebenen oder zu kleinen Töpfen bzw. Pfannenböden verschwenden Sie Energie.
• Schalten Sie die Kochplatte ein, indem Sie den Drehknopf nach rechts (MAX) drehen. Sie
können ihn nach Ihrem Bedarf einstellen. Die Kontrollleuchte leuchte auf, wenn die
Kochplatte heizt. Die Kontrollleuchte erlöscht, wenn die Kochplatte die eingestellte
Temperatur erreicht hat und abschaltet,
• Die Kochplatte ist nur zum Erhitzen bzw. Kochen von Speisen bestimmt und darf daher nur
mit aufgesetztem Kochgeschirr benutzt werden.
• Die Platte heizt aus Konstruktionsgründen nach dem Abschalten nach. Diese Hitze kann
zum Warmhalten benutzt werden.
• Nach Gebrauch den Temperaturregler auf "MIN" stellen und das Gerät vom Stromnetz
trennen.
Hinweis:
• Verwenden Sie nur Edelstahl-, Aluminium oder Keramiktöpfe bzw. – pfannen.
Verwenden Sie keine Töpfe bzw. Pfannen aus Glas.
• Verwenden Sie nur Kochtöpfe oder Pfannen mit planen Boden.
• Der Durchmesser des Topf- bzw. Pfannenbodens muss kleiner als der Durchmesser der
Heizplatte sein.
REINIGUNG
• Gerät vom Netz trennen und abkühlen lassen, bevor es gereinigt wird.
• Reinigung des Gerätes nur mit einem feuchten Tuch oder Schwamm.
• Niemals mit metallischen Gegenständen reinigen oder Schleif- und Scheuermittel
verwenden.
• Gerät nicht ins Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten tauchen.

UMWELTSCHUTZ – RICHTLINIE 2012/19/EG
Zum Schutz unserer Umwelt und unserer Gesundheit sind Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräte nach
bestimmten Regeln zu entsorgen. Dies fordert den Einsatz sowohl des Herstellers bzw.
Lieferanten als auch des Verbrauchers.
Aus diesem Grund darf dieses Gerät, wie das Symbol auf dem Typenschild bzw. auf der
Verpackung zeigt, nicht in den unsortierten Restmüll gegeben werden. Der Verbraucher hat
das Recht, dieses Gerät über kommunale Sammelstellen zu entsorgen; von dort aus wird die

Wir, die Team Kalorik GmbH bestätigen hiermit, dass unser Produkt den Anforderungen der VO
1275/2008/EG entspricht. Unser Produkt verfügt zwar nicht über eine Funktion zur Minimierung
des Verbrauchs, welche laut VO 1275/2008/EG das Produkt nach Beendigung der
Hauptfunktion in den Aus- oder Bereitschaftszustand versetzen soll, aber dies ist aus Sicht des
Gebrauchswertes nicht möglich, da dies die Hauptfunktion des Produktes so stark
beeinträchtigen würde, dass eine Benutzung des Produktes nicht mehr möglich sein würde!
Aus diesem Grund weisen wir in unserer Bedienungsanleitung den Kunden stets darauf hin, das
Gerät sofort nach Beendigung des Kochvorganges vom Netz zu trennen.
