Important Safety Instructions

7.Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
8.Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9.Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10.Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
11.Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
12.Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart isused,usecautionwhenmovingthecart/apparatuscombination to avoid injury from tip-over.
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the product.
13.Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
14.Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
15.The equipment shall be used at maximum 35 degree C ambient temperature.
16.Do not open the equipment to reduce the risk of electrical shock. For safety reasons it is only allowed to be opened by qualified service personnel.
17.WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture. And the apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
18.The AC inlet is used as the disconnect device and shall remain readily operable.
19.The product shall be used on an open bench.
20.No naked flame source, such as lit candles, should be placed on the apparatus.

REMOTE PROGRAMMING
Programming your BaseStation One to use another remote control
Press and hold the Source and Mute buttons on the front panel simultaneously – the status light should flash ORANGE
Press the mode you wish to copy e.g. MUTE, Volume UP or Volume DOWN - the status light should stop flashing, staying ORANGE
Now press the required button on your remote control FOUR times
Repeat steps 1-3, for all the remote functions you want.

The status light extinguishes after a few seconds to minimise distraction.
Note: When the device is in Standby mode, it is using minimal power, and is safe to leave in this mode for long periods. However, we would always recommend switching the unit off when leaving it idle for a number of days (holidays, for example).

The 3D function is enabled by pressing the 3D button on the remote control. When the function is first enabled, the status light will briefly flash GREEN. Pressing the button again will disable the function, and the status light will briefly flash RED.

Using with an external subwoofer

TV Speakers
To enjoy the full benefit of hearing TV audio through your BaseStation One, turn off the internal speakers in the TV. The TV may have an onscreen audio menu that includes an option for turning the TV speakers on or off.
USING A TV SETUP MENU
1.On the TV remote, find and press the Menu button to enter the display for audio and video settings on the TV screen. Some TV remotes may have an Audio setup or Settings button.
2.Locate the Audio menu to turn the TV speakers on or off and select “Off”.
Note: If the TV does not have a menu setting for turning off the internal speakers, exit the audio menu and reduce the TV volume to its lowest setting.

•Clean the device using only a dry, lint-free cloth.
•Do not use any cleansers/chemical treatments.
•Keep your BaseStation One away from sources of heat and moisture.

Troubleshooting
BaseStation One will not switch on
•Check that the mains lead is plugged in and the mains socket is switched on.
•Check that the power switch on the back of the unit is in the ‘on’ position.
No Output
•Check that the signal cable is plugged in to the TV and the BaseStation One.
•Is the unit in ‘Standby’ mode (is the indicator light RED)? If so, select the required source to bring the unit out of Standby mode.
•Have you selected the correct source?
•If everything seems correct, switch off the unit, wait a few seconds and then switch it back on again.
Cannot programme unit to work with your remote control
•Be sure that you have studied and understood the remote programming section.
•If you are trying to use a universal remote, try using the remote that was provided with the TV instead.
•Not all remote controls will work with the BaseStation One.
Cannot make a Bluetooth connection
•Make sure the unit is paired with the unit.
•Place your mobile device closer to your BaseStation One.
•If at any time the status light flashes red, please start the process over again.
Warranty
No maintenance of this device is necessary.

All of our products have been produced and tested with care and precision to give first class service.
All passive components are guaranteed for a period of five years from the date of purchase from an authorised Tannoy dealer. All active and electronic components are guaranteed for a period of two years from the date of purchase from an authorised Tannoy dealer. Misuse, overload, or accidental damage to Tannoy passive or active and electronic components are not covered by this warranty.
If at any time during this warranty period the equipment proves to be defective for any reason other than accident, misuse, neglect, unauthorised modification or fair wear and tear, we will repair any such manufacturing defect or, at our option, replace it without charge for labour, parts or return carriage.
If you suspect a problem with a Tannoy product then, in the first instance, discuss it with your Tannoy dealer. If you require further assistance then we ask that you deal directly with your local Tannoy distributor.
