1. Product info

Sygic Car Navigation is specially optimized to work with your car’s built-in in-dash infotainment system and
dashboard/steering-wheel buttons. Sygic Car Navigation runs on your Android device and seamlessly
connects with your car’s dashboard systems via MirrorLink®. Just connect the phone with a cable and you
are ready to drive. Works either in a standalone mode, or in connected (MirrorLink®) mode where the
screen of the smartphone is mirrored to the head unit display.
Sygic Car Navigation in car connected mode is compatible with vehicles equipped with VW Car-Net® App
Connect, Skoda SmartLink, Seat Full Link and Peugeot Mirror Screen. Your smartphone needs to support
MirrorLink® 1.1 technology. To use with Jaguar or Land Rover please install the Jaguar InControl ™ App or
Land Rover InControl™ App on your phone.
Navigation also Works in a standalone mode on your Android phone or tablet.

2. Car connectivity

Sygic Car Navigation application is compatible with:
All Android devices with built in GPS module with Android OS 4.0.4 and higher.
Sygic Car Navigation in car connected mode is compatible with vehicles equipped with VW Car-Net® App
Connect, Skoda SmartLink, Seat Full Link and Peugeot Mirror Screen. Your smartphone needs to support
MirrorLink® 1.1 technology. To use with Jaguar or Land Rover please install the jaguar InControl ™ App or
Land Rover InControl App on your phone.
For use via Mirrorlink you must have a compatible Android smartphone with Mirrorlink 1.1 support. For list of

2.1. Compatibility

Sygic Car Navigation application is compatible with all Android devices with built in GPS module with
Android OS 4.0.4 and higher.
Sygic Car Navigation supports connectivity via:
Mirrorlink cars
HondaLink
InControl – Jaguar, Land Rover
Please note: For use via Mirrorlink you must have a compatible Android smartphone with Mirrorlink 1.1

2.2. Car connected mode

Sygic Car Navigation is specially optimized to work with your car’s built-in infotainment system. It is fast,
easy and seamless. Just connect your smartphone to the car’s dashboard system with a USB cable, and
you are ready to hit the road.
Sygic Car Navigation is the world’s most installed offline navigation specially optimized to work with the
car’s navigation screen and dashboard/steering-wheel buttons. The application runs on your Android or iOS
device and seamlessly connects with dashboard systems available in cars from select manufacturers. Just
connect the phone with a cable and you are ready to drive.

2.3. Display

In the Navigation mode with car connectivity Mirrolink screen shows the map of your surroundings with
highlighted navigation route. Once you get to a turn or junction, you will see an arrow showing the direction
you need to take. Besides turn by turn navigation, the navigation screen shows a lot of additional
information:
1. Traffic info
2. Current position
3. Lane assistant
4. Estimated time of arrival
5. Remaining time to the destination
6. Menu
7. Search
8. Remaining distance to next turn
9. Actual speed limit
10. Current street name

2.4. Search

To navigate to your desired destination, go to Search and select: Address, Quick search. Poi on route,
Petrol Station, Petrol Station, Parking, GPS coordinates
Address
First the country has to be chosen. The last choice is remembered, so there is no need to enter the country
on navigating next time.
Afterwards you can proceed to Select City or Postal Code or Select Street directly.
Enter the first few letters of the City/Street name to see a list of suggestions.
Once you select street name, you will be able to select House number.
Quick search
Type the name of the City, Street, POI, Contact, History or Favorite into the search field.

Nearby
The map also contains the details of thousands of Points of Interest nearby such as gas stations,
restaurants, hotels, tourist attractions and other facilities. Just simply search for them
Poi on route
To travel through a certain place on your trip you can add Poi on route
Petrol Station
By setting the type of fuel your car is using in Menu > Settings > Fuel Prices, you will get information about
the price of the selected fuel in your area. To use this service, it is necessary to have internet connection
Parking
Allows you to select nearest parking place.
GPS coordinates
You just need to have the map downloaded for the country where the coordinates are located. Here are
some examples:

2.5. Menu

If you want to enter the Menu, tap on the menu button in main screen.

3. Smartphone only

Sygic Car Navigation and Maps is offline navigation software and does not require internet connection
to operate.
Internet connection is only necessary if you want to:
• install, activate or update an application or maps,
download maps, voice commands, or other files,
use additional services (if purchased) such as Traffic Information, Traffic Accident Reports or
crowd-sourced Police trap alerts.
If you don’t have a car with supported connectivity for your in-dash system, you can use Sygic Car
Navigation with all the features and benefits right on your smartphone. Just mount it on the right place with
a holder and you can enjoy the best navigation. Learn more about the Smartphone only option.

3.1.1. Compatibility & Requirements

Sygic Car Navigation“Mirrolink “ is specially optimized to work with your car’s built-in in-dash infotainment
system and dashboard/steering-wheel buttons. Sygic Car Navigation runs on your Android device and
seamlessly connects with your car’s dashboard systems via MirrorLink®.
Sygic Car Navigation is available for:
1. Android smartphone only
2. Car connectivity with MirroLink® Radio and smartphones supporting Mirrorlink 1.1

3.1.2. Quick Menu

The quick menu allows the driver to notify other Sygic users of the current situation on the road in real time.
Quick menu can be opened by tapping on the bottom bar as you can see on Pic 1. You can also navigate to
Home or find nearest Parking and Petrol Station as you can see on Pic.2

To download the maps that you want to have saved in your device, please go to Menu Pic1 > Settings Pic2
> Manage maps Pic 3 > Select region * Pic4 > *Tap on the map you would like download and then
proceed Pic5. You can delete map by taping on downloaded map and then proceed.

3.1.4. Display

In the Navigation mode the navigation screen shows the map of your surroundings with highlighted
navigation route. Once you get to a turn or junction, you will see an arrow showing the direction you need to

3.1.5. Display Modes

After the application start, the map is displayed in navigation mode.
1. In Navigation Mode (Pic.1), the software tracks your position for visual reference of the route and map
around you. (Please note that it is necessary to have GPS Module enabled on your device during usage).
2. If you want to explore other locations, drag the map with your fingers to switch to Map Browsing Mode
(Pic.2).

3.2.1. Navigating to an address

To navigate to your desired destination, go to:
Main menu > Navigate to > Address or POI > select your address > Drive to > Wait for valid position (if
GPS signal was not fixed yet) > Navigate

3.2.2. Searching POI by Categories

You can switch between:
Groups view (Pic.1)
Shows POI categories and subcategories.
List view (Pic.2)
Shows a list of POIs nearest to chosen location
When searching POIs by any means described in the previous topic, the POIs are displayed in List view.
You can switch between the views by tapping the List / Group button on the bottom right of the screen.
If you are uisng a native keyboard, this button might be hidden. Hide the keyboard to reveal the button.
The native keyboard can be disabled in Settings > Regional > Use native keyboard.
To refine your search results, tap the search icon at the bottom of the screen and type the name of the POI
or group you are looking for (depending on a view). You can also enter partial names. When finished, the
Action Menu pops up.

3.2.3. Navigating Home

Go to: Menu > Navigate to… > Home
To start using this feature, you need to set your home location first (Pic.1).
Following options will appear:
Select form map
Opens map browsing mode so you can select a location
Address or POI
You can choose home location from particular POI or address.
Quick search
Search for any Address, POI, Contact, History or Favorite.
Nearby POI
Shows a list of POIs near your current (or last valid) position.
POI on route
Enabled only if a route is computed. Shows the list of POIs on the route.
Favourites
Opens the list of your favourite locations.
History
The list of your last visited destinations will be displayed.
GPS coordinates
Enter the GPS coordinates.
Once your home address is stored, you can navigate home by choosing:
Menu > Navigate to… > Home
After tapping on Home, the route form your current location to home will be computed immediately. (Pic.2)

If you wish to change your Home address, tap the Set button on the bottom right of the screen.

3.2.4. Navigating to Recent Destinations / History

Sygic keeps tracking your recent destinations, making it easy to return to a place that you have been
navigated to before.
• When entering an address through Menu > Navigate to…> Address or POI , the last address
entered is preselected.
• When selecting a City or a Street, the list of previous selections will appear.
• You can also go directly to a list of recent destinations by selecting Menu >Navigate to…> History
and start navigation by selecting a previous destination from the list shown.

Tap on the item, an Action menu will appear:
• Tap Drive to, Walk there or Traviel via to navigate to a chosen recent place.
• Tap Remove item to delete the place from the list of recent destinations.

3.2.5. Managing Favourite Destinations

To manage your favourites go to Menu > Navigate to.. > Favourites
The list of your favourite destinations will be displayed. Tap on an item you want to edit.
An action menu will appear with two options on the bottom:
Rename item
Tap to rename your selected favourite destination
Remove item
Tap to remove your selected favourite destination

3.2.6. Navigating to a Place (point of interest)

In addition to the road network, the map also contains the details of thousands of Points of Interest (POIs)
such as gas stations, restaurants, hotels, tourist attractions and other facilities.
To set a POI as your destination, you have multiple options:
• Menu > Navigate to… > Address or POI
Finds POI near the selected address. First specify the address, then tap on POI. The list of the POIs
near to the selected address will be displayed.
• Menu > Navigate to… > Nearby POI
Shows a list of POIs near your current (or last valid) position.
• Menu > Navigate to… > POI on route
This option is enabled only if the route is computed. The list of POI of specified categories is
displayed. You can select the gategories to display in Settings > Map > POI on route.
• In Map Browsing Mode tap on any location, Action menu will appear. Tap on Action menu and
choose Nearby POI
• In Map Browsing Mode tap on any POI that you can see on the map.

3.2.7. Adding a New Favourite Destination

There are multiple ways how you can add a new favourite destintation:
Navigate to … > Favourites > Add (on the bottom right of the screen)
There will be multiple options to search for your favourite place:
◦ Current location (this option is available only if you are receiving a GPS signal)
◦ Select from map
◦ Address or POI
◦ Home
◦ Quick search
◦ Nearby POI
◦ POI on route
◦ History
◦ GPS coordinates
• After any destination from Navigate to … menu (an address, POI, home, etc.) is selected, an action
menu will appear. In More actions part select Add to favourites
• In map browsing mode tap on any place on map, action menu will appear. Tap Add to favourites.

3.2.8. Navigating to Favourite Destinations

To view the list of your favourite destinations, select Menu > Navigate to…> Favourites
You can start navigation by selecting a Favourite destination from the list shown.

Select the desired Favorite destination by tapping it and then select your next option from the Action
Menu.

3.2.9. Quick Search

You can look for any Address, POI, Contact, History or Favorite with the Quick search function.
Go to Menu > Navigate to > Quick search
Type the name of the City, Street, POI, Contact, History or Favorite into the search field.
Menu > Navigate to > Quick search
Select the place you were looking for.
To set chosen location as your destination, tap the Drive to, Walk there or Travel via button.
To select a different place altogether, tap the Back button.
If there are no results are available, make sure, that you have a valid position on the map or continue
searching with Detailed search or Google local search instead.

Tap on Route > Route options to access menu with following functions:
Demonstrate
Lets you see the calculated route as if you were driving along.
Show on map
Lets you see the entire route on the map.
Change start point / Change destination
Lets you change your start point or destination.
Travel via
Adds a waypoint to your route.
Save route
To save the route to your Saved routes.
Add shortcut to home screen
Adds a shortcut to actual route to your Android device home screen.

3.3.2. Adding Waypoints to the Route

To travel through a certain place on your trip you can add waypoints by:
• Select a location on the map and use option Travel via or Pass by in Action Menu.
• Tap on Route > Route options > Travel via and set address by choosing from following options:
Current position – Sets your last valid GPS position as your home address
Select form map – Opens map browsing mode so you can select a location
Address or POI
• Navigate to anything via Navigate to menu. When in the Action menu tap on Travel via.
• Tap on any point in browse map, an action menu will open. Tap on Travel via.

Each time a route is calculated, you can either choose to start navigation or tap on Options to access the
Route summary for detailed information about your route and route editing options. You can also
return to a planned route and enter Route summary through Menu > Route.

to modify.

You are able to manage your purchased map packages in Manage maps menu

You can easily personalise your map settings by going to Menu > Settings > Map, and pick which setting
you would like to modify:
Colour scheme
Switch between Day/Night color scheme. Default setting is automatically switching between Day/Night
colors

Point of interest
Choose which categories of POI you wish to see on the map. POIs are visible in Map browsing
mode and hidden in Navigation mode
Buildings
Switch between Elevated / Footprint / Off
Landmarks
Switch landmarks on/off

Enable to keep the maps always north up.

3.4.4. Connection

Creating a Sygic account is free of charge. If you purchase any item from Sygic online shop at
“https://eshop.sygic.com/en/car-navigation , the email used for making a purchase becomes your Sygic
account.
You can log in to Sygic Car Navigation with multiple types of accounts:
