Tools needed to complete the installation:
Power drill
To cut the 120mm fan holes, use:
4/6 Bi-Metal Hole Saws, Milwaukee 49-
56-0230 4-1/2" (115 mm)
To drill the fan mounting holes, use:
3/16 (4.75mm) drill bit
To drill the radiator mounting holes, use:
1/8. (3.17mm) drill bit
To cut holes for installation of the
grommets, use:
3/4" (19mm) drill
To cut a whole for installation of the
rheostat:
3/8” (10mm) drill bit
Effective 3-11-04, all H20-22501 series liquid cooling kits are shipped with a 5 Watt 10 rheostat, allowing adjustment of the fan speed and noise level.
Rheostat installation:
Physical installation: a 3/8” hole is needed for a permanent installation of the rheostat onto the chassis.
Electrical installation: Connect the rheostat to the power supply, then connect the fan(s) to the rheostat.
IMPORTANT WARNING: if using other than the factory supplied fans (Delta WFB1212M), do not exceed a total of 5 Watts input power.
