Indicates whenyour iron reachesthe desired temperature. ANTI-CALCIUM SYSTEM (select models)

The Anti-CalciumSystem is apermanent system located insidethe water reservoir. This system removescalcium from thewater and reduces calciumbuild-up on thesoleplate.

1. Unplug theiron from the powersource.

WARNING: NEVER yankthe power cordwhen unplugging theiron. This candamage the cord.

STORING YOUR IRON

1. Allow theiron to cool.

2. If youdo notuse your ironon adaily basis,empty the waterreservoirafter eachuse fora l

ongeriron life.To doso, unplug theiron, turn theiron upside down,open thefill hole cover, andallow waterto flow fromthe fillhole. Shake theiron gently toremove trapped waterdrops.

3. Loosely loop the power cordaround the heel restand store theiron onits heel rest.

MPORTANT: Wrappingthe cord aroundthe iron tootightly can damage thecord.

IP: When notironing, always setthe Steam SelectionSlide to OFF (Dry).

MAIN TAI NING YO UR DIGITAL GLO™IRON

LEANING THE SOLEPLATE

Clean thesoleplate if starchor other residue accumulates.

To cleanthe Soleplate:

1. Unplug theiron. Allow the ironto cool andthen wipe itwith a soft,damp cloth.

WARNING: DONOT use abrasivecleansers, scouringpads or vinegar to cleanthe soleplate. This willdamage the finish.

2. Run theiron over an all-cottoncloth to removeany residue.

USING THE SELF-CLEANING FEATURE

You shoulduse the Self-Cleaningfeature once amonth to maintainthe optimal performance of youriron.

To usethe Self-Cleaning feature:

1. Unplug theiron and allow ironto cool. Movethe Steam SelectionSlide back andforth several timesto remove debrisand minerals from theSteam Valve.This keeps water flowing intothe steam chamber.

2. Fill thewater reservoir with tapwater to theMAX line.

3. Plug inthe iron and pressFabric Select buttonto Linen, andallow the ironto heat until the Wait light turnsBLUE.

4. Unplug theiron.

5. Hold theiron over a sinkin a horizontalposition.

WARNING: Be carefulnot to touchthe iron’s hotsurfaces.

6. Press theSelf-Clean button and hold.Water will begindripping from thesteam vents. Slowly rockthe iron sideto side and frontto back for30 seconds. Whenrocking the iron, dipthe nose ofthe iron slightly belowthe rear ofthe iron tomake certain the water circulatescompletely.

7. Turnthe ironupside downand allowthe remainingwater toflow outof thefill hole.

8. Dry thesoleplate with a towel.

9. Plug inthe iron and pressthe Fabric Selectbutton to Linen.Let the ironheat until the Wait lightturns BLUE anddry out theiron completely.

10. Press the FabricSelect button toOFF. Thelights will goout, indicating that theiron has turned itselfoff. Unplug theiron and allow itto cool.

CLEANING THE ANTI-CALCIUM SYSTEM

The professionaliron houses ananti-calcium filter in thereservoir, whicheliminates impurities fromthe water.

To prolongthe efficiency ofthis filter:

1. Unplug theiron and allow itto cool.

2. Locate thewater cup that accompaniedthe iron andfill it withwater. Add 1teaspoon of saltto the waterand fill the waterreservoir with thissolution.

3. Leave thesolution in the waterreservoir for 15minutes, then emptyit.

4. Fill thewater reservoir a secondtime with thesalt water solutionand empty it again after 15minutes.

5. Fill thetank with fresh waterto rinse andempty.

The Anti-CalciumSystem should becleaned approximately once amonth.

1. Make surethe iron is unplugged. Set theSteam Selection Slideto OFF(Dry).

2. Slide openthe Water FillHole Cover.

3. Fill watercup with water.Pour water intoiron water reservoir. Do notfill water reservoir beyondmaximum fill line.

WARNING: Toprevent the riskof burns, becareful when fillinga hot iron with water. Hot metalparts, hot waterand steam can causeinjuries.

SELECTING FABR IC SETTINGS WITH DIGITAL GLO™CONTROL

Toselect a fabric setting,(Figure A)turn the Fabric Selectdial until thedesired fabric is h

ighlighted. TheWait light willglow red whilethe iron heatsup. The lightwill then change

to blue(Ready) when theiron is ready touse.

ONING

1. Make surethe Steam Selection Slideis turned tothe OFF (Dry)setting.

2. Plug thecord into a 120-Volt AC outlet.

3. Select FabricSetting.

OTE: While theSteam Selection Slideis turned tothe OFF (Dry)setting, you may stilluse

the SHOTOF STEAM

feature orSPRAY MIST®feature. Pleasemake sure thewater

reservoir isat least 1/4full of water.

IP: Refer tothe Ironing Guidefor the recommendedsetting for your fabric.

1. Follow theinstructions for “ToFill the Water Reservoir”.

2. Plug thecord into a 120-Volt AC outlet.

3. Select FabricSetting.

3-WAY MOTION SMART®AUTO-OFF FEATURE

When the ironis pluggedin and the Auto-Offis activated, theOFF selectionon thedigital displayand thered Waitlight willblink, indicating thatthe ironhas stoppedheating. The Auto-Offis activatedif notmoved after30 secondsin theironing position andon its side, and after15 minutesin the upright position. TheOff lightwill continueto blinkto letyou know Auto-Offwas activated.

If youleave the iron:

•In ahorizontal position without movingit, oraccidentally tipthe ironover,it will

automaticallystop heatingafter 30seconds. TheOFF selectionon the digital displayand the redWait light blinkto let youknow thatthe ironhas stopped heating.

• In avertical position (onits heel rest)without movingit, the ironwill automaticallyturn

off after15 minutes. TheOFF selectionon the digitaldisplay and thered Waitlight blink to letyou know that the ironhas stoppedheating.

IMPORTANT:The OFF selectionon the digital displayand the redWait light willcontinue to

blink for5 minutes, thenturn totally OFF.

To resetthe iron:

• Move theiron backand forth. TheOFF selection onthe digital display and thered Waitlight will stopblinking and theiron will start heating again (allow itto reheat for 2 minutes);the desiredfabric setting willbe highlighted.

• Press the(

) FabricSelect button, thedigital displayand red Wait light will

illuminate, indicating power hasbeen restoredto the iron(the desiredfabric settingwill still beselected). Waitfor the lightto turn BLUEbefore ironing.

LIMPIEZA DE LA BASE

Limpie labase si seacumula almidón o algúnotro residuo.

Para limpiarla base:

1. Desenchufe laplancha. Dejeenfriar la plancha yluego pásele unpaño suavey húmedo.

2. Pasela plancha porun paño depuro algodón para eliminarcualquier residuo.

USO DE LA FUNCIÓN DE AUTOLIMPIEZA

Debe usarla función deAuto-Limpieza una vez almes para mantenerel desempeño óptimo de suplancha.

Para usarla función deautolimpieza:

1. Desenchufe laplancha y deje enfriar. Mueva pongael Selector deVapor Variablepara atrás yadelante varias vecespara quitar los restosy los mineralesde la Válvulade Vapor.Esto mantiene elagua fluyendo enel compartimiento delvapor.

2. Lleneel tanque delagua con aguadel grifo hasta lalínea MAX.

3. Enchufela plancha, presioneel botón (+)de Selección de Tela y selecione <<Linen>> (Lino). Permitaque la planchase caliente hasta queel botón cambiea AZUL.

4. Sostengala plancha sobreun fregadero enuna posición horizontal.

5. Presione ymantenga apretado elbotón deautolimpieza. Elagua comenzará agotear delos respiraderos delvapor. Balancee la plancha lentamente delado a ladoy de adelante para atrás por30 segundos.Al balancear laplancha, ponga lanariz de laplancha levemente más bajaque la parte posterior paraasegurarse deque el aguacircule totalmente.

CUIDADO: Tenga cuidado deno tocar lassuperficies calientes dela plancha.

6. Girela planchaal revésy deje queel aguarestante fluyaafuera por elorificio dellenado.

LIMPIEZA DEL SISTEMA ANTISARRO

Laplanchaprofesionalcontiene unfiltroantisarro enel tanque,que elimina las impurezasdel agua.

Para prolongarla eficiencia deeste filtro:

1. Desenchufela plancha ydéjela enfriar.

2. Encuentrela taza quevino con laplancha y llénela deagua. Agregue 1cucharadita de sal alagua y lleneel tanque de aguacon esta solución.

Always readgarment labels andfollow the manufacturer’sironing instructions.

• Sort thearticles to be ironedaccording to thetype of fabric.

• You should first irongarments requiring lowtemperature (e.g., silks and

ynthetics) to avoiddamaging them withan iron that istoo hot.

• If youare unsure of thefabric content ofthe garment, testa small area, such asa seam orfacing, before ironing avisible area. Startwith a low temperature andgradually increase theheat to find thebest setting.

•

When steamironing, use long,slow passes over thefabric. This willallow the steamto penetrate thefabric while allowing theheat of thesoleplate to dryout the moisture.

• To ironlinens, turn garmentinside out. Be carefulnot to usean iron that istoo hot becausethe lining may meltor stick tothe soleplate.

• To ironzippers, use anironing cloth or makesure the zipperis closed and ironover the flap.Never iron directly overan unprotected zipper.

• Use theIroning Guide to selectthe best settingand method forthe fabric you planto iron.
