3. Transportation, unpacking and installation instructions
1.Introduction
●These installation instructions are an integral part of the terrace awning and was written for the
professionals of the installation company and for the end users.
●An additional instruction for the electric products will be attached to this manual and should be
treated as an integral part of this instruction.
●Add, remove, or change the content of this manual not permitted.
●The installation instructions must be kept and be easily accessible by the whole use time of the
awning.
●Please read the installation instructions, and the other instructions that are attached to the product
before unpack, installation and use of the product.
●This document has been prepared according to requirements of the standard
PN-EN 13561:2004+A1:2008.
●Explanation of symbols used in this manual:
Important Safety Information!
Notes and general remarks on the safety use. Improper use of awnings can have a
negative impact on the awning structure and a loss of their properties and thus lead to
the deterioration of security.
CAUTION!
The warning triangle shows the important tasks in the operation, maintenance, etc.
Failure to comply with the recommendations may result to the accident.
Important Safety Information
CAUTION!
For the safety of people, it is important to read this instructions before the Installation
and followed. The installation instructions must be stored and must be passed by
eventual resale of the awning to the new owner. In case of loss or damage to the
installation instructions you should immediately contact the dealer for a copy.
Note
●By working at height should be applied appropriate security measures to
protect against accidents.
●Ladders or scaffolding must be set on a stable surface.
●You should have appropriate qualifications to work at height.
2.Use and Maintenance instruction
2.1.General
CAUTION!
For the reasons of safety, installation, maintenance and use of
awnings, please follow the following guidelines.
●The installation of the awning should be done by an authorized dealer.
●Modifying the construction of the awning are not allowed.
●It is not be allowed to under awning be during maintenance or installation work.
●Follow rules and instructions on health and safety during installation and maintenance.
●Handle uncouple after use.
●Do not use an awning near an open flame.
●Use the manual control of awnings with drive in emergency only.
●Do not overload an awning construction.
●Roll up the awning in bad weather such as frost, snow, rain and hail.

Awning is designed to protect against sunlight. The System allows the user to unroll or roll up her as
necessary.
●For a manual control, the system based on a crank and gearbox.
●By turning the handle in both directions, an awning can be roll up or unroll.
●For the awning with folding arms to turn the crank until the awning sheathing will be tight enough. It
is not allowed to unroll the fabric from the roller tube completely.
●For the Electric drive the system is made of an electric motor and a control switch (it can a wall
switch, remote control, and/or weather automatic be).
The Awning is not designed for the other purposes (eg. protection against other weather conditions)

Roll up the awning in bad weather such as frost, snow, rain and hail.
2.3.Information regarding products with electrical supply
CAUTION!
Do not leave children alone with the device that controls the awning. Keep the remote
control away from children.
If the awning is equipped with an electric motor or lighting, the manual provides:
●An electric circuit diagram that can be used during the installation, together with assembly
instructions.
●Certification of electrical components delivered for the awning.
CAUTION!
One should check the electrical wiring two times a year for signs of wear or damage to
the cable. Do not use if they need to be repaired.
●Always switch off the power supply before making any maintenance work.

●Switch should be placed in such a place where we can see the awning position in any movement.
●Switch should be located away from moving parts.
●Switch should be installed at a height according to the regulation for the disabled persons (generally
less than 1,30 m).
●If manual drive is possible, it should be installed at a height of less than 1,80 m.
●Keep the electrical switch away from children.
●If the switches are located on the outside, it should have IP55 protection class or higher.
In an area with high wind intensity that is exposed to a frequent power cuts, we recommend to use an
alternative energy source, or to use a handle.
When it comes to awnings that can be to switch on out of the sight, the user should take the appropriate
organizational measures so as to prevent unintentional switching of the awning during maintenance or repair
work, eg window cleaning or wall cleaning.
Note
The fabric during the operation, at the different temperature and humidity, can easily
change of its size. It may necessary be limit switch to set again, especially for the
cassette awning. This is a service action and is not the basis for the complaint.
To carry out inspections or maintenance, an awning must be safely disconnected from the mains electricity.
It is not allowed to make changes to the configuration of the electrical equipment.
An awning noise shall not exceed 70 dB.
2.4.Maintenance of awning
2.4.1.Scheduled maintenance of the fabric
Turn off the power supply.
Cleaning of the fabric depends on the type of fabric, it is recommended to use the vacuum cleaner, wet
sponges or cleaning agent recommended by the manufacturer. To clean the awning safely, should not use
ladders or scaffolding. If necessary, use a garden hose or tools with handles (vacuum cleaners, sponges with
handles, etc). Before the awning will be roll up, wait until it is completely dry. A visual assessment of fabric at
least twice a year. For further information see the manufacturer description of the awning.
CAUTION!
Do not use solvents, ammonia, or any other chemicals.
2.4.2.Scheduled maintenance of the awnings frame
Scheduled maintenance consists of the following steps:
●Check regularly that all screws and bolts are properly tightened.
●Check regularly whether wall brackets are holding correct.
●Moving parts lubricate with silicone grease.
●Regularly check electrical cords.
●Regularly check that awning is not polluted by leaves, snow or dirt.
2.4.3.Unscheduled maintenance of the awnings frame
Unscheduled works may only be performed by qualified personnel (eg replacement of parts or fabric,
maintenance of the tensioning systemetc), if it necessary.
In the case of the noisy operation of the moving parts the tensioning system, which is located in the side
sections, required maintenance must be performed. This involves the removal of dirt and lubrication all
moving parts.

2.5.Disassembly and disposal
Disassembly of the awning must be performed by qualified personnel. Awning contains no hazardous
components. Turn to recycling company to reduce the negative influence of waste over the natural
environment.
2.6.Important notes and warnings
CAUTION!
Roll up the awning in bad weather such as frost, snow, rain and hail.
CAUTION!
If the awning will be used during the frost it can damage your awning.
Note
Possible buckling of the fabric. In the vicinity of the seams and the edges of the
sheathing can form folds and wrinkles - it is natural.
CAUTION!
In case of fault you should refrain from further usage and immediately contact the
installation company.
Note
Stainless steel parts in the event of exposure to external conditions can corrode in a
limited way.
Note
Unroll the fabric of the awning in the wrong direction may damage sheathing and
structures of the awning.
Note
The sheathing may have slightly different color (if coming from different production
types)
CAUTION!
●It is not allowed to hang, hook or put anything on the awning.
●It is not allowed to hang or placed something on the awning.
●Adjustment and repair of awnings by unauthorized persons are not allowed.
CAUTION!
Installation of awnings with electric drive in hazardous environments or where very
large quantities of flammable substances in the air is not allowed.
