SATELLITE FINDER
Quick Installation Guide
WIRING AND OPERATION
1. Connect the coaxial cable coming from the LNB of your Antenna to the TO LNB
connection on the Satellite Finder.
2. Connect the coaxial cable going to your satellite receiver to the TO REC input on the
Satellite Finder.
3. Turn on the satellite receiver. The Satellite Finder's scale should be lit at this time and the
meter reading should be around 0.
4. Set your antenna to the proper azimuth and elevation settings (this information should be
supplied with your satellite antenna).
5. Set the Satellite Finder's scale reading to about 5 by adjusting the level control found on
the face of the Satellite Finder (turning the knob clockwise will increase the reading).
6. Peak the signal by slowly moving the azimuth and elevation of your antenna. When the
signal level shown on the Satellite Finder becomes full scale, turn the control knob counter
clockwise to reduce the level to around 5. Continue to move the antenna until you achieve
signal level with the highest possible meter reading and the highest possible buzzer pitch.
7. Additional feature: 13V and 18V LED to indicate the polarization. You can adjust the
polarization to achieve optimum signal level for both polarizations.
8. Additional feature: 0Hz and 22KHz LED. The 22KHz signal of the receiver is commonly
used to switch LNB frequency between high and low band. By switching the frequency on
your receiver you can adjust the highest signal level on both frequencies with the Satellite
Finder.
9. Remove the Satellite Finder and reconnect the LNB to your receiver.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
To avoid a continuous full scale reading, do not use the Satellite Finder directly in front of
the antenna.
When using a LNB with gain higher than 60dB inserts a 5dB attenuator between the LNB
and the Satellite Finder.
The Satellite Finder has 4LED on the front panel indicating that:
A) LED marked with 22 KHz: The receiver is sending a 22 KHz signal, used to switch the
LNB to the high band frequency.
B) LED marked with 0Hz: The receiver does not send the 22 KHz signal.
C) LED marked with 13V: The receiver is sending 13V power to switch the LNB to the vertical
polarisation.
D) LED marked with 18V: The receiver is sending 18V power to switch the LNB to the
horizontal polarisation.
