This powerful 2000W Follow Spot
complete with 4-colourmagazine is fully
equipped, both optically and mechanically,
to ease the operator's
exacting task

For maximum flexibilify and high efficiency
the fully integrated lamphouse contains a
variable spread lens system providing a
narrow 12° to a generous 21 ° beam spread
with full
diaphragm . This side-operated iris has a
blackout disc to engage at minimum
aperture but, in addition, a cord switch is
fitted

For straight-sided beam shaping a parallel­closing horizontal strip shutter is
incorporated,
knob adjacent to the iris handle so that both
can be used simultaneously. Diecast lens
mounts sliding along internal rods ensure
smooth lens movement; the knob
rear lens, for beam edge quality, is also
adjacent to the iris handle.

The Follow Spot is mounted within a very
rigid fork with a friction bearing to a TV
spigot for stand mounting . The tilt pivot is
adjustable laterally to allow the optimum
balance for the particular circumstances .

The large rear handle is also adjustable to

suit the preference of the operator.

Specification

Housing

Pressed steel housing integrating both
lamphouse and long-travel lens movement
within the same overall section Fitted with rigid
front handle and large rear handle adjustable in
extension and rotation

Mounting

Extra-rigid, twin tubular steel fork with 90mm
friction disc and handgrip knob for tilt clamp
and with special TV spigot incorporating friction
bearing for swivel (not suitable for suspension) .
Tilt pivot axis position adjustable laterally for
optimum balance.

Lamptray .Assembly

GY16 unequal pin lampholder, with integral,
heat-sink, mounted on removable assembly
normally secured to the peaky /flat field
adjustment moved independently by a rotary
knob at the
internal porcelain terminal block and strain­relief gland fitted with 2 metres of 3 x l.5mm
conductor flexible cable incorporating a
substantial cord switch.

Reflector

210mm dia near-ellipsoidal reflector of polished
anodised aluminium.

Gate .Assembly

Built-in, side-operated, 18-leaf iris diaphragm
with blackout disc. Pair of horizontal strip
shutters mechanically linked for parallel
movement from a single heat-resisting knob
adjacent to iris handle. Strip shutter assembly
rotatable through 30° around optical axis to
compensate for off-centre projection

Lenses

Variable-spread combination of 200mm dia.
plane-convex front lens and 150mm dia. rear
lens mounted on separate die-cast mounts

sliding smoothly along two diagonally opposed

internal rods . Lenses moved independently and

each locked , adjacent to an external scale, by a
pear-shaped heat-resisting knob. Removable
top for easy lens-cleaning access.

Colour Magazine

Side-operated semaphore type 4-colour
magazine fitted and supplied with four
removable 215mm square colour frames for thin­film 'Chromoid', or non-saturated 'Cinemoid'

colour filters.
