Micro 8 is specifically designed for the control of stage and
presentation lighting in pubs, small clubs, hotel entertainment
and conference areas, lecture theatres and for classroom drama
where the scale of the lighting installation may be small, but
where the quality required is no less than in a full size
professional theatre.
Micro 8 offers eight control channels, each rated to handle up to
OOO watt of 220/240v tungsten lamp load. Each channel is

provided with a three position switch to select channel off,
channel through dimmer, or channel full-on.
Four Triac dimmers, each fully rated for 2 x 1
OOO watt loads, are
linked to adjacent pairs of control channels. These solid-state
dimmers are regulated by fingertip-operated fader levers.
Overriding these is a master fader, situated on the right hand
side of the unit.
Micro 8 is contained within a lightweight, but strong, moulded
casing, attractively styled in claret colour with smooth texture
finish. The control panel and the rear angled panel with recessed
socket outlets, are both finished in contrasting white.
Micro 8 is a free standing desk, but can be wall-mounted by the
addition of an accessory kit.

Fitted with 1 m external length of 6mm
3- conductor TRS flexible cable for 220/240v 50Hz
single phase and neutral supply with earth
continuity conductor . Power-on neon indicator and
~OA ma;9netic circuit breaker/master switch fitted .
Each of the eight channels has a 3-position switch
to select channel off (top), channel through
associated dimmer (centre), or full-on independent
of the dimmer. Each channel, for a maximum of
1 OOO watt of 220/240v tungsten lamp load, has
close-excess current protection provided by a
cartridge fuse with safety cap and a 5A ceramic
body fuse-link. Load connection is through either a
5A 3-pin
recessed in the rear angled panel.
The four variable load Triac dimmers, each
associated with two adjacent control channels , are
fully rated for the tungsten surge current of 2 x 1 OOO
watt maximum tungsten lamp loads. The Triacs are
mounted on generous heat-sinks and are complete
with substantial inductive filters. In addition the unit
is fully suppressed against Radio Frequency
Interference.

FADER
LEVERS
The four dimmers are controlled by four fader levers
and a master fader, each with a scale length of
58mm . These faders and all associated trigger
circuitry are mounted on a plug-in printed circuit
board.
