SPECIAL INFORMATION

- The appliance may be used by children aged8 and up and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or a lack of experience and know-how, provided that they are supervised or they have been instructed on how to use the appliance safely and have understood the resulting risks. Children must never play with the appliance. Children must never clean the appliance or perform user maintenance unless they are supervised.

- When permanently connected to the mains via an appliance wall socket, ensure that the appliance can be separated from the power supply with an isolator that disconnects all poles with at least 3 mm contact separation. For this, you can use contactors, main isolators or fuses.

- The connection must be made via an RCD with a tripping current of 30 mA.

- Fix the appliance in position as described in chapter "Installation/ Installation/ Installation location"

- Never place any ﬂammable objects on top of the appliance.

- Never operate this appliance if the minimum clearances to adjacent objects are not maintained (for minimum clearances see chapter "Installation location").

2. Safety

This appliance is designed for internal installation.

However, it must never be installed in wet areas.

2.1 Intended use

This appliance is designed to heat living areas. Any other use beyond that described shall be deemed inappropriate.

Observation of these instructions is also part of the correct use of this appliance. Any modiﬁcations or conversions to the appliance void all warranty rights.

2.2 Incorrect use

Never use the appliance in rooms exposed to oil vapours, such as workshops.

Never sit or stand on the appliance.

2.3 Safety information

3. Appliance description

The appliance is a fan convector designed for wall mounting. A heat exchanger draws heat from the heating circuit and transfers it to the ambient air. The appliance operates with lower ﬂow temperatures than conventional radiators.

Air is drawn into the lower area at the front of the appliance. Inside the appliance, the air is heated by the heat exchanger. Once heated, the air is blown out forwards and diagonally at the top of the appliance.

The fan constantly circulates the room air and ensures a pleasant temperature distribution in the room. The integral ﬁlter cleans the room air. The air volume transported by the fan can be selected in three stages.

For reasons of comfort, the fan only switches ON at flow temperatures above 25°C to prevent cold air from being blown into the room. If the ﬂow temperature drops below 18°C, the fan switches OFF.

The maximum ﬂow temperature must not exceed 55 °C.

4. Operation

4.1 Controls

Untrained personnel must only carry out simple maintenance tasks, such as cleaning the ﬁlter mat.

Two rotary selectors are located at the top right of the appliance. With these, you can select the room temperature and the fan speed as required.

Use the ON/OFF switch to turn the appliance ON and OFF.

4.1.1 Temperature selector

You can adjust the room temperature with the temperature selector on the left. Adjustments are made as with a thermostatic valve on a conventional radiator.

4.1.2 Fan stage selector

The right selector controls the air volume transported by the fan. It is a four-stage switch.

These stages control the speed at which the appliance emits heat. We recommend operating the fan at the lowest stage. Although higher fan stages enable faster heat emission, they create louder fan noise.

4.2 Frost protection

The appliance is in frost protection mode when the temperature selector is in the frost protection setting. To protect the appliance against frost, the ON/OFF switch must be ON.

5. Cleaning, care and maintenance

WARNING Risk to life through electrocution! Before any cleaning and maintenance work, isolate the appliance from the power supply.

To ensure correct operation of the appliance, the following inspections and maintenance steps should be carried out.

The frequency with which maintenance work needs to be carried out depends on the installation location, for example on the level of dust.

5.1 Cleaning the appliance casing

Use a dry cloth to clean the outside of the appliance. If it is very dirty, slightly moisten the cloth. Ensure that no moisture enters the inside of the appliance. Never use scouring or cleaning agents.

5.2 Cleaning the ﬂuff ﬁlter

5.2.1 Normal cleaning

To protect the heat exchanger against dirt, a ﬂuff ﬁlter is integrated behind the inlet grille. Dirty ﬂuff ﬁlters restrict the air ﬂow and reduce the appliance efﬁciency.

For normal use, it is sufﬁcient to check and, if necessary, clean the ﬂuff ﬁlter once a month.

» Switch the appliance OFF.

5.2.2 Heavy duty cleaning

» Switch the appliance OFF. » Wait until the fan has stopped.

» Undo both screws on the inlet grille. » Lift the inlet grille slightly and pull it forwards and away from

the appliance.

A safety switch ensures that the fan stops as soon as inlet grille and ﬂuff ﬁlter are removed.

» Remove the ﬂuff ﬁlter carefully.

» Wait until the fan has stopped.

» Without removing the inlet grille, clean the inlet grille and

the ﬂuff ﬁlter located behind it with a vacuum cleaner.

Only remove the inlet grille if there is dirt on the appliance which cannot be removed by a vacuum cleaner. In that case, proceed as follows:

» Clean the ﬂuff ﬁlter with a brush and then rinse with

lukewarm water.

» Let the ﬂuff ﬁlter dry. » Reinsert the ﬂuff ﬁlter.

» Re-attach the inlet grille using the two screws.

Never operate the appliance without a ﬂuff ﬁlter.

Water circulating in the appliance can cause noise. The appliance is not faulty and no action is required.

The appliance is not faulty. Change the fan speed if necessary. at the air outlet. As the appliance draws air from the room, unpleasant odours, caused for example by heaving smoking, can build up in the appliance. The air that is subsequently emitted can sometimes take on these odours. The appliance is not switched on. Switch ON the appliance at the ON/OFF switch. The fuse/MCB has tripped or the fuse is faulty. Check the fuse/MCB in your fuse box/distribution panel. The thermostat has not enabled heating because the room temperature is higher than the set temperature selected. The flow temperature is lower than 25 °C. A thermostat has switched the fan off.

The internal safety temperature controller has switched the appliance off.

Air cannot flow freely inside the appliance. Ensure that no objects (e.g. curtains) near the air outlet or air inlet

The filter is dirty and reduces the air volume that can be transported. Windows and doors are open. Close all windows and doors to prevent heat from escaping. Set temperature has been adjusted incorrectly. Adjust the room temperature with the left rotary selector. The heating system flow temperature is too low. Increase the flow temperature at the control unit of your heating

The heat demand of the room is too high. Select a higher fan stage. After switching the appliance on, the fan does not start until the appliance has been supplied with hot water.

Clean the fluff filter.

No action is required. The appliance will start again when the room
