1.02 Purpose and use
Purpose
The lifting platform can be used to lift people in need of help with negotiating
height differences.
Use
The LP7 & LP7+ are designed for permanent installation indoors and
outdoors.
The lifting platform may only be operated by users who have been properly
instructed to do so, or by personnel who have been professionally trained to
use this assistive technology/working tool.
Entering and exiting the platform takes place at each end of the lifting platform.
The access ramp and doors serve to protect the user by keeping him/her
from rolling off during use. There are also handrails on both sides of the lifting
platform. The LP7+ is tted with doors as a standard feature.
The lifting platform is designed and manufactured in relation to applicable
norms.
LP7 can lift up to 800 mm.
LP7+ can lift up to 1500 mm.
The lifting interval of the LP7 and the LP7+ can be adjusted between heights
of 50-1500 mm.
The lifting platform may be used in temperatures from -10 to +40 degrees.
In temperatures of less than zero, the application of suitable heating beneath
the platform is recommended.
Great importance is attached to the design and implementation to achieve
attractive and harmonious installation in different environments, private and
public. Public environments are institutions, public buildings, etc., where the
lifting platform is subject to a certain amount of supervision. In these environments, the lifting platform should be locked, protecting it against unintentional
use or games.

1.04 Unpacking and preparation
Visual check
If the packaging is damaged on receipt, the parts of the LP7 & LP7+ must be
carefully examined for visible deciencies, defects, or faults. If damage is
suspected, the LP7 & LP7+ must not be used until qualied service personnel
or the Guldmann Service Team have approved this.
Any type of damage or defects on the packaging must always be noted in the
shipping documents.
When working beneath the platform, there is a risk of becoming trapped
between the moving parts of the platform. The following safety rules must
therefore be observed:
1. The safety chain/strap must always be used while working beneath the
platform.
2. The secondary power source (battery) must be disconnected via the key
switch while working beneath the platform.
3. The lifting platform may NOT be raised/lowered while work is being performed
beneath the platform. This rule applies even if safety devices are in place.
4. Once the platform has been installed, connected and can be raised/lowered
only one person must work at the platform at a time.
Safety equipment
When working beneath the platform, a safety stop MUST be used to
mechanically block the platform from desending.
The lifting platform is operated by means of the operating panel.
The lifting platform is logical and unproblematic to operate and use, even with
no prior knowledge.
When the platform is parked at the lower level, the ramp/doors can be
opened by pressing and holding the DOWN button.
1. UP
2. DOWN
Raising the lifting platform from the lower level
1. When the lifting platform is at the lowest level and the access ramp has been
lowered to the proper level, users can freely drive up on to the
lifting platform.
2. Activate the control panel by pressing (1), and the access ramp will go up /
the doors will close; this way, the access ramp serves to protect the user from
rolling off.
3. When the access ramp is all the way up and (1) is held in, the platform will
begin its ascent. The platform only ascends when (1) is actively held down
(hold-to-run).
4. When the lifting platform is level with the landing, the platform stops automatically and the user can drive onto the landing.
5. When using the safety gate, it is opened automatically. It is electronically
secured and cannot be opened until the lifting platform is in the highest position.
2. When using the safety gate, it must be closed before the platform can be
operated. This is done by activating (2).
3. Activate the operating panel by pressing button (2) to lower the lifting platform.
The platform only descends when (2) is actively held down (hold-to-run).
4. When the lifting platform is at its lowest level, the access ramp will be lowered/the doors opend, and the user can drive off the lifting platform.

Error situation
The lifting platform may indicate multiple error situations on the control panel.
This is indicated on the raise and lower buttons by one or more ashes
followed by a pause. The following is a description of error situations along
with possible solutions. See section 5.3 Troubleshooting for additional
information.
1 ash: Overload activated. Remove load so that the platform can be
operated again.
2 ashes: Contact the supplier
3 ashes: Contact the supplier
4 ashes: Overheating – allow the lifting platform to cool off for 20
minutes, and contact the supplier if problems continue
Individual and specic consideration must be given to how an emergency
summoning system must work. One or more responsible people should be
appointed to help with the correct use of the lifting platform. It should always
be possible to call those responsible in any emergency situation. The users
must be informed of who holds this responsibility.
Description of emergency stop
The emergency stop must be used
in emergencies only. If the emergency stop is activated owing to a
malfunction, the dealer must be
contacted before the LP7 & LP7+
