NEW FORCE 90
™
90% Thermal Efficiency
For light commercial applications, Force 90 puts
76,000 BTU input into a 50-gallon tank to deliver more
hot water than any “conventional” 50-gallon unit. With
its compact 22" footprint and the flexibility of horizontal
or vertical power-vent design, Force 90 is easy to install.
It’s the ideal choice to give smaller businesses and
institutions more hot water, in the same space or less,
with significant savings on their energy bills.
Power-vent design
Force 90 allows you to replace expensive metal venting with
2", 3" or 4" PVC vent pipe. Depending on the pipe size used, you can
plan and easily install vent runs up to 128 equivalent feet, terminating
vertically or horizontally through an outside wall.
Premium-quality glass lining, protected by two anode rods
Both Force 90 and Ultra Force water heaters deliver maximum service
life, with a glass lining formula specifically designed for the demands
of commercial applications. The interior of the heat exchanger is also
glass lined to protect against flue gas condensate.
Helical coil heat exchanger
Unlike conventional light-commercial heaters with a “flue tube” that vents
hot combustion gases straight up and out, the Force 90 achieves 90%
thermal efficiency by circulating them up, down and around. This design
provides much more heat transfer surface, keeps heat in the tank longer,
and allows Force 90 to handle 76,000 BTU input for extraordinary water
heating power.
Convenient condensate outlet
Because of its 90% efficiency, Force 90 is a fully condensing water heater
and is shipped with a condensate elbow and outlet to allow easy movement
of flue gas condensate to a suitable drain or exterior location.
Intelli-Vent®* gas control valve
Advanced electronics assures precise temperature control. Touch-pad
operation and built-in diagnostic programming with LED lights allow easy
temperature adjustment and identification of simple “fault codes” displayed
during service calls. Equipped with premium-grade silicon nitride hot
surface ignitor.

ULTRA FORCE
™
Up to 240,000 BTU, with 94% efficiency
For larger commercial applications, Ultra Force combines up to 100 gallons
of storage with inputs ranging from 125,000 to 240,000 BTU and state-of-the-art
design features for easy, flexible installation. For really big jobs, a manifold
installation (with up to four Ultra Force units) will deliver up to 400 gallons
of storage, with total input as high as 960,000 BTU.
Top-mounted controls, blower motor and gas valve
For easy access during installation and service.
Advanced diagnostic control panel
Microprocessor controls ignition and thermostat, allowing precise setting of
water temperature. Digital readout of operating mode, all user settings and
failure modes for ease of operation and service.
Down-fired low-NOx power burner
Precisely mixes air and gas for optimum efficiency
before combustion. Power burner design drives
energy into heat exchanger at high velocity.
Helical coil heat exchanger
Power burner creates centrifugal force, driving
energy against heat exchanger walls for maximum
heat transfer effectiveness.
“Zero Clearances” for installation versatility
Ultra Force fits in tight spaces because 0" clearance
is allowed on the sides, front and rear, and only
1-1/2" clearance is required above the unit.
Ultra Force is also approved for installation
on combustible flooring.
Allows power-venting or power direct-venting
Ultra Force can be installed using single-pipe
power-venting or two-pipe power direct-venting,
which draws all combustion air from outside.
In either case, vent runs can terminate vertically
or horizontally through a sidewall. Using 3" PVC
pipe, vent runs can be up to 80 equivalent feet.
Using 4" vent pipe, vent runs can be up to 120
equivalent feet.
