Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Which operating systems support the SJ-144MC Printer?

A: This printer works with Macintosh devices that are installed with Color QuickDraw as well as System 6.05 or later versions.

A: The printer does allow for the use of thick paper of up to 0.23mm (0.00906 inches) but would only be able to do so if the rear feed path is functional.

A: The printer is able to print on normal paper, overhead projection (OHP) films, strip labels and heat transfer sheets.

Q: What will you do in case of a paper jam?

A: In case a paper is jammed one must remove the jammed paper, check for the other paper jams existing in the printer and also check that the edge of the paper is smooth before reloading it.

Q: What’s the way to change the density while printing?

A: Getting the desired print density can be done through adjusting the density by using the print density dial available on the left hand side of the printer.

Q: Where should the printer be placed? Are there any special surroundings needed?

A: Yes, the printer has to be placed on firm, even surface without dust, too much heat, stable power supply and suitable humidity level.
