Lea atentamente estas instruccio-

nes antes de utilizar el aparato.

El calefactor vertical TL-31 cumple
con las normas europeas EN­60335-2-30.

Se recomienda comprobar el esta­do y funcionamiento del aparato al
desembalarlo, cualquier defecto
de origen está amparado por la
garantía S&P.

- No manipule el aparato con las
manos mojadas.

- Si el cable de alimentación está
dañado, este debe ser sustituido
en uno de nuestros talleres de
reparación o por personal cualifi­cado con el fin de evitar un peligro.

- No utilice este aparato en las
inmediaciones de una bañera,
de una ducha o de una piscina.

ADVERTENCIAS DE SEGURIDAD

- El calefactor, no debe estar
situado justamente debajo de
una base de toma de corriente.

- No cubrir el calefactor con obje­tos que impidan la libre circu­lación del aire. Si se cubre,
existe el riesgo de sobrecalen­tamiento.

- Mientras el calefactor esté en
funcionamiento, el cable no
deberá estar delante de la sali­da de aire.

- No deben quedar objetos infla­mables (cortinas, etc.) a
menos de 50 cm del circulo del
aire caliente.

- Mantenga limpias las rejillas
de entrada y salida del aire.
Siempre que realice la limpie­za del aparato, tenga la precau­ción de desconectarlo.

Mando termostato

El termostato regulable es el encar­gado de establecer y mantener la
temperatura de bienestar deseada.
Las posiciones intermedias del
mando del termostato, correspon­den a diferentes niveles de tempera­tura. Si la temperatura del ambiente
es elevada, es normal que el ter­mostato desconecte el aparato.

Funcionamiento

1. Compruebe que la tensión de la
red coincide con la indicada en
la placa de características.

2. Tire del cable guardado dentro
del aparato y conecte la clavija
a la toma de corriente. Por tra­tarse de un aparato de doble
aislamiento no necesita ser
conectado a tierra.

3. Gire el mando del termostato
hasta su máxima posición.

4. Seleccione la potencia deseada
(1000W - 2000W).

5. Una vez que la habitación haya
alcanzado la temperatura desea­da, gire lentamente el mando del
termostato en sentido contrario
a las agujas del reloj, hasta que
con un suave “clic” se desco­necte el aparato. A partir de este
momento el calefactor se conec­tará y desconectará automática­mente, manteniendo constante
la temperatura de la habitación.

6. Para desconectar el aparato,
sitúe el mando selector de
potencia en la posición O.

Mantenimiento

1. Desconecte el aparato de la red

antes de efectuar cualquier opera­ción de mantenimiento del aparato.

2. Cada temporada, limpie el polvo

acumulado en el interior hacien­do pasar un chorro de aire a pre­sión a través de las rejillas de
entrada y salida del aire. Dicha
limpieza es conveniente que sea
efectuada por un técnico.

6. Si detecta cualquier anomalía,
acuda a la amplia Red de
Servicios Oficiales de S&P.

Nota: Es muy importante que,
como mínimo, una vez al año se
efectúe una limpieza a fondo del
aparato, de esta forma se dismi­nuyen los posibles riegos de
accidente.

Desconexión por sobrecalenta
miento

Si se produjera alguna perturba­ción, el sistema de desconexión
por sobrecalentamiento incorpo­rado, desconecta automáticamen­te el aparato. Si esto ocurriera,
debe actuar del siguiente modo:

Desconectar el aparato de la red,
dejarlo enfriar durante 15 minu­tos, limpiar la rejilla de entrada y
salida, si fuera preciso, hacerlo
con un aspirador. Si después de
estos controles, el aparato no fun­ciona con normalidad, le rogamos
que acuda a la Red de Servicios
Oficiales S&P.

3. Limpie regularmente las rejillas
de entrada y salida de aire.

4. No sumerja ni ponga el aparato
debajo el grifo.

5. No desmonte ni manipule el
aparato, ello anularía automáti­camente la garantía.

Read these instructions carefully

before using the appliance.

The TL-31 vertical standing heater
complies with European standards
EN-60335-2-30. Before operation
we advise to check the condition
of the appliance as any manufac­turing fault is covered by the S&P
guarantee.

- If the power supply cable is
damaged, then it must be
replaced in one of our authori­sed repair workshops and by
authorised personnel in order
not to invalidate the guarantee.

- Do not use this appliance within
the spray zone of a bath, a sho­wer or a swimming pool.

SAFETY WARNINGS

- The heater must not be located
immediately under an electri­cal socket.

- Do not cover the heater with
objects that prevent the air cir­culating freely. Obstructing the
airflow increases the risk of
overheating.

- While the heater is in opera­tion, the cable should not be
right in front of the air outlet.

- Inflammable objects (curtains,
etc.) should not be situated wit­hin 50 cm of the circle of hot air.

- Always ensure that the air inlet
and outlet grilles are clean.
Before cleaning the appliance
ensure that the unit is discon­nected from the mains electri­cal supply.

- Do not handle the appliance
with wet hands.

Thermostat control

The purpose of the adjustable ther­mostat is to automatically switch the
unit ON and OFF at a selected tem­perature to maintain a continuous
desired temperature in the surroun­ding environment. The intermediate
positions of the thermostat control
apply to different temperature levels.
If the room temperature is high, the
thermostat will usually disconnect
the appliance.

Operation

1. Before switching the unit ON,
first check that the electrical
supply voltage coincides with
the voltage indicated on the
product name plate.

2. Extract the cable that is located
inside the appliance and plug it
into the socket. As this is an

appliance with double insulation,
it does not need to be earthed.

4. Do not immerse the appliance in

water or hold it under the tap.

3. Turn the thermostat control to
the maximum position.

4. Select the desired power
(1000W - 2000W).

5. When the room has reached
the desired temperature, turn
the thermostat control slowly
anticlockwise until the
appliance switches off, with a
gentle “click”. From now on,
the heater will switch on and
off automatically, maintaining
the room at a constant tempe­rature.

6. To switch the appliance off, set
the power selector control to
the O position.

Maintenance

1. Disconnect the appliance from

the mains electrical supply befo­re carrying out any maintenance
work.

2. After any prolonged period of

non operation, we would advi­se to clean away the dust that
has accumulated inside by
applying ideally using jet of
compressed air through the air
inlet and outlet grid. This clea­ning operation should be
carried out by a suitably quali­fied technician.

5. Do not dismantle or interfere
with the appliance, to do so
would invalidate the guarantee.

6. If you detect any anomaly, con­tact the extensive S&P Official
Service Network.

Note: It is very important to clean
the appliance thoroughly at least
once a year. In this way possible
risks of accident are reduced.

Disconnection due to overheating

In the instance that the unit over­heats, the thermal overload pro­tection system operates which
then automatically disconnects
the electrical parts on the applian­ce from the mains electrical
supply. In such an event, proceed
as follows:

Disconnect the appliance from the
power supply; let it cool down for
15 minutes, clean the inlet and
outlet grid (ideally with a vacuum
cleaner). If the appliance still fails
to work normally after these steps
have been taken, please contact
the S&P Official Service Network.

3. We would always recommend
to regularly clean the air inlet
and outlet grids.
