Connecting your HMP
Check your display: your display should either support HDMITM or VGA. HMP incorporates HDMITM
1
technology which is preferred to VGA.
TM
Connect your HMP: plug the cable of your choice (High Speed HDMI
2
or VGA)
between the HMP and your display. Make sure to select the right video-input on
your display. The HMP is not delivered with cables. They are often provided with
the display and/or can be found in specialized shops.
3
Power up your HMP: plug the original power adapter on one side to the DC power input of
your HMP and to a 110-220V outlet on the other side. A
black startup screen displaying the SpinetiX logo appears,
conrming the booting process has started.
Note: the rst booting process can take 1 to 3 minutes.
At the end of the booting process, the screen will display the
HMP Wizard. Now follow the onscreen instructions and you're
ready to start.
Important
If you are not succeeding to get to the HMP Wizard, make sure that the digital display is functional and
that the right video-input has been selected. Also check that the blue button is not pressed by external
elements. If the setup appears correct, but the HMP still does not behave as above, try to power down
and up the HMP by unplugging and plugging again the power. If this does not correct the problem,
contact your local dealer/ reseller or - if uncertain - the SpinetiX distributor in your country.
Note: static electricity can harm delicate components inside the HMP. To prevent damage, discharge
static electricity from your body before you touch the HMP. You can do so by touching a grounded metal
surface.

HMP Wizard
The HMP Wizard is the simplest way to congure
your HMP: enter the IP address of the HMP into your
browser to directly access the HMP Wizard.
The IP address of the player is automatically displayed
on the screen when pressing the blue button.
From the HMP Wizard you can choose to congure
your HMP to use one of three possible operation modes: Fusion, Elementi or Advanced.
Using Fusion
Fusion is a built-in browser based content manager natively installed on every HMP. Use Fusion to
quickly upload your content on the player, create playlists and schedule them, manage user rights, skins
and templates.
After choosing Fusion in the HMP Wizard, you will be able to access Fusion interface at any time by
entering the IP address in your browser. Under spinetix.com/go/resources you can access customizable
Fusion add-ons such as skins and templates which can be used in your digital signage project.
Using Elementi
Elementi software simplies the implementation and the daily management of digital signage projects.
It allows users to author, preview, schedule and publish hypermedia content on HMPs. Elementi can
be downloaded from the SpinetiX website under spinetix.com/download. After a trial period, Elementi
requires a license key which you can purchase from your local dealer/ reseller or from your distributor.
Using Advanced
Choose this operation mode to access all the advanced congurations of the HMP. This mode is to be
preferred when the HMP is used within highly customized or 3rd party digital signage solutions.
