1. Introduction
The CatLinc™ RS-232 transmitter/receiver pair extends any RS-232 signal up to 1000m / 3300ft over CAT5, CAT5e, or CAT6 FTP, UTP or STP cable.

3. Connecting the CatLinc™ RS-232 system
The figure below illustrates the CatLinc™ RS-232 system connections. For distances up to 330m / 1000ft, connect a Power adapter to either the
Transmitter or Receiver unit. For distances of more than 330m / 1000ft con­nect power adapters to both units.
Once connected, the CatLinc™ RS-232 system is ready to transmit RS-232 sig­nals.
Warning: In the CatLinc™ signal distribution system the CAT5 cables carry electrical power. Do NOT connect them to any other device. We recommend that you attach the enclosed warning stickers provided to the ends of each cable.
