PERFORMANCE TIPS
Setting the Level
1. If co nnecting to a fox Lv2.2:
To ensure adequ ate range using the sli der control,
make sure the a uxiliary cabl e insert connec ted to
standar d audio cable (bet ween foxL sub out an d
foxLO Input). Rem oving the auxiliar y cable is optio nal
for all othe r foxL models, doing s o will increase th e
input sign al to the foxLO.
2. G iven its tiny size and t he variety of mu sic and
sources u sed, it IS easy to overl oad the foxLO...
make small adj ustments fro m the center positio n
to nd your op timum bass level.
3. E xperiment wit h a range of music when s etting
your foxLO lev el.
Connection from foxL
Subwoofer Output
1. Connect audio ca ble from the foxL Su bwoofer
Output t o the foxLO AUDIO IN (B).
NOTE: Th e included audio ca ble has a short
“attenuation” insert attached.
Keep this con nected if you are
using a foxL v2.2. It is optional
when conne cting the foxLO
with othe r foxL models.
2. To avoid a spark, connec t the foxLO to power
in this orde r:
A. First, push t he POWER button (E) in to t he
ON positi on.
B. Next, connec t the AC charger ’s right-angl e
barrel co nnector to the fox LO DC IN 24V DC
(F).
C. Then, connec t the AC charger to the wall
outlet. A b lue LED indictor w ill light.

Limiter, On or O?
In the OFF pos ition, try your f avorite music at your lo udest
normal lis tening level... if the re is overload, use ON .
Placement can make a huge
dierence in sound, so experiment!
1. Try f oxLO next to or near you r foxL. Or put the fox LO
on the oor u p against a wall. Try bot h.
2. M iddle of a room/desk = Lea st Bass.
Hard sur faces (i.e., walls, oor s) = More Bass.
Placed in a cor ner = Most Bass.
3. C loser is louder...usuall y.
4. Ver y minor locatio n adjustment (even a few i nches)
sometim es makes a big diere nce.
5. It u sually makes very li ttle dierenc e in sound whether
the orien tation of your foxLO is v ertical or hor izontal.
Direct Connec tion of foxLO to
Speakers without a Subwoofer Output
(i.e., Jawbone Jambox)
1. Rem ove the short “atten uation” insert c able attache d
to the inclu ded audio cable.
2. C onnect the audi o cable from phon e/tablet/PC e tc.
headphon e jack to the foxLO AUDIO IN (B)
3. To avoid a spark, co nnect the foxLO to p ower
in this orde r:
A. First, push t he POWER button (E) in to t he
ON positi on.
B. Next, connec t the AC charger ’s right-angl e barrel
connec tor to the foxLO DC IN 24V DC (F).
C. Connect Audio O ut (A) to Speaker (Jambox)
Aux/Audio in (see Fig. 1 a bove)
D. Th en, connect the AC ch arger to the wall outl et.
A blue LED ind ictor will light.
4. S et the speaker (i.e., Jamb ox) to its max level
setti ng whenever in use and c ontrol volume
from the a udio source (laptop, t ablet, phone)
5. S ee next sect ion to adjust foxLO LE VEL and
LIMITER positions.
Optional for
VERTICAL ORIENTATION:
remove the two “upper” feet
and add four button covers.

consumer purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period
of one (1) year after the date of purchase.

IMPORTANT – Keep your original sales receipt. Be sure the retail dealer has written
on it the date, model number, and serial number of the Product. This information is
required for warranty service. Be sure to obtain and retain proof of shipment.
This warranty does not cover:
• Damage that is the result of misuse, abuse, accident (including but not limited to
damage by water), faulty hookup, defective or maladjusted associated equipment, or
the use of the Product with equipment for which it was not intended.
• Cosmetic defec ts that appear more than thirty (30) days after the date of purchase.
Cosmetic damage caused by improper handling is also excluded.
• Damage that occurs while the Product is being shipped to whoever will service it.
This warranty is void if:
• The Product identication or serial number label is removed or defaced in any way.
• The Product is serviced or repaired by any one other than soundmatters or an
authorized soundmatters dealer or service agency.

CONSEILS DE RÉGLAGE
Réglage du Niveau
1. Si conn ecté à un foxL v2.2 : Pour garant ir un
niveau adéqu at en utilisant le bouto n de contrôle,
assurez-vo us que le câble auxiliai re soit connecté
au câble aud io standard (entre la sor tie Sub out du
foxL et l’entrée d u foxLO). Le fait de re tirer ce câble
auxiliair e est optionnel si le fox LO est uti lisé avec
les autre s modèles foxL, cet te action aura pour
cause d’augme nter le niveau d’entrée vers le f oxLO.
2. En c onsidérant son peti t format et la large varié té
de musiques e t de périphériques u tilisés, il EST
facile de f aire saturer le foxLO… faites d e petits
ajustemen ts à partir de la posi tion de passer pour
détermin er votre niveau de basses o ptimal.
3. Pour u n meilleur réglage du nive au du foxLO,
utilisez d e nombreux style s de musique.
Connexion à partir de la sortie
Sub du foxL
1. Con necter le câble au dio de la sortie Su b du foxL
à l’entrée AUDIO IN du f oxLO (B).
REMARQUE : Le câb le audio inclus disp ose d’un
“inser t d’atténuation” in tégré.

2. A n d’éviter toute étince lle, connecter le f oxLO
au sect eur dans l’ordre suivant :
A. Premièrement , mettre le bout on POWER (E)
sur la posit ion ON.
B. Ensuite, connec ter la prise à angle dr oit
du chargeu r secteur à l’entrée DV 24 V du
foxLO (F).
C. Puis connect er le chargeur sec teur à la prise
de courant . Une LED bleue va s’allumer.

Dans la posit ion OFF, essayez votre m usique favorite au nivea u
le plus for t d’écoute hab ituelle…s’il y a une saturatio n, placer
le bouton sur O N.
Le Placement fait une grande diérence
au niveau du son, expérimentez !
1. foxLO p rès/loin du foxL ou foxLO p ar terre contre le mur ?
Essayez le s deux.
2. Su rfaces dures (murs, s ols, etc.) = Plus de basses .
Milieu d’une piè ce ou d’un bureau = Moins.
Dans un angle = Ni veau optimal.
3. Plus p rès = plus fort … habi tuellement.
4. Par fois, des ajustem ents mineurs au niveau d e la distance
(même quelque s centimètres) font une gr ande diérence.
5. La f açon dont le foxLO est or ienté, verticalemen t ou
horizont alement, impacte hab ituellement peu le son .
