Step 1

Insert the bracket onto the mounting holes
present at the back of the appliance and tighten
the screws.

Step 2

Mount the External redundant power supply onto
the bracket and tighten the screws.

Note: Ensure that your existing rack mounting
ears (or any other fixation) which are holding
your appliance are stable enough to hold the
additional weight of the power supply. Otherwise,
we recommend you to order rackmount rails as
accessory parts from your Sophos partner.

Step 3

Connect the DC power cable between the
External redundant power supply and the
DC connector located at the back side of the
appliance.

Step 4

Plug an AC power cable to the External redundant
power supply and turn it ON.

The LED against label “Ext.” on the front side
of your appliance should turn green, indicating
that the External DC redundant Power supply is
working properly.

If the LED is red, then the connected External
redundant Power supply is defective.

If the LED is OFF, then the External redundant
power supply is not connected.

Schritt 1

Führen Sie die Halterung in die
Montageöffnungen auf der Rückseite der
Appliance ein und ziehen Sie die Schrauben an.

Schritt 2

Montieren Sie die externe redundante
Stromversorgung an der Halterung und ziehen
Sie die Schrauben an.

Hinweis: Achten Sie darauf, dass die
vorhandenen Befestigungswinkel (oder
eine andere Befestigung) für die Appliance
stabil genug sind, um das zusätzliche
Gewicht der Stromversorgung zu tragen.
Andernfalls empfehlen wir, die Appliance mit
Rackmountschienen zu befestigen, welche Sie
als Zubehör bei Ihrem Sophos-Partner bestellen
können.

Schritt 3

Verbinden Sie die externe redundante
Stromversorgung über das DC-Netzkabel
mit dem DC-Anschluss auf der Rückseite der
Appliance.

Schritt 4

Schließen Sie ein AC-Netzkabel an die externe
redundante Stromversorgung an und schalten
Sie diese ein.

Die LED bei „Ext.“ auf der Vorderseite der
Appliance sollte grün leuchten und damit
anzeigen, dass die externe redundante
Stromversorgung einwandfrei funktioniert.

Leuchtet die LED rot, funktioniert die
angeschlossene externe redundante
Stromversorgung nicht einwandfrei.

Leuchtet die LED nicht, ist die externe redundante
Stromversorgung nicht angeschlossen.
