Setting up e-mail in Z600

The Z600 is a great tool for keeping in touch using e-mail. Use e-mail in your Z600 to send messages,
pictures and attachments as you would with your computer.

Before you start

Make sure you have your GPRS or GSM network operat or and/or service provider subscription
information at hand before you start setting up your e-mail. You must have a phone subscription that
supports data transmission.

E-mail account

To be able to send/receive e-mail messages, you need to create an e-mail account in your Z600. This can
be done in three different ways:

• Automatically using the Sony Ericsson e-mail configurator (if supported by your operator)

• Automatically from your service provider

• Manually by entering the settings in your Z600.
We recommend that you set up your Z600 automatically, through your service provider or visit

www.SonyEricsson.com/support and use the e-mail configurator since this is the easiest way. This guide
describes all three options.

Receive settings using the e-mail configurator

You will find the e-mail configurator at www.SonyEricsson.com/support.
First of all you need the following information from your service provider:

• E-mail user name

•E-mail password

• E-mail address
Follow the simple instructions on the screen. You will receive the auto configuration via SMS. When you

receive the text message you simply press

YES to install your new settings.
